Honda offers the Brio hatchback with an automatic transmission (torque converter) in only to top-spec VX trim level. The five-speed automatic gearbox comes mated to a 1.2-litre, four-cyliner i-VTEC petrol engine that generates 88PS of power and 109Nm of torque. It is the same engine that also does duty in the petrol-powered Jazz, Amaze and the WR-V. The company claims that the Brio VX AT can achieve fuel-efficiency figures of 16.5kmpl, which is 2kmpl less than the rest of the Brio variants with manual transmission. The automatic gearbox comes with seven different modes in its configuration - park, reverse, neutral, drive, D3, 2 and 1.

The 175/65 section tyres on the Honda Brio VX AT come wrapped around 14-inch alloy wheels. The hatchback comes with 35 litres of fuel tank capacity, 4.7 metres (4.5 metres of MT variants) of turning radius, 165mm of ground clearance and 175 litres of luggage capacity. Since the automatic transmission in the top-spec VX trim, it comes feature loaded. When compared to the S variant, the VX gets a more extensive feature list that includes a tailgate spoiler with LED-powered stop lamp, 14-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, electronically foldable ORVMs, vanity mirror for both driver and front passenger, seat back pockets, black interior trim instead of beige, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and front seat belt pretensioner with load limiter.

The Honda Brio is available in five different shades for the body paint - Rallye Red, Alabaster Silver, Urban Titanium, Pearl White and Taffeta White. The Japanese carmaker launched a facelift for the Brio on October 4, 2016, which included styling updates inside and outside the cabin. The list of rivals for the Honda Brio VX AT includes the Hyundai Grand i10 AT, Maruti Suzuki Ignis AGS and the Tata Tiago AMT.
