BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Line

Germans are truly known for their extreme engineering and this time they have come up with the BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Line, just recently introduced by none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Carrying on the 3 series since 1975, BMW truly knows how to make a sporting sedan with fascinating styling and shear power. It is a D+ segment car which means it is a compact executive car. With a top speed of 235 kmph and 8 speed gear transmission, this car will certainly be a showstopper. The BMW 3 series 320d Luxury Line is by far a best car in its class; it will be a challenging task to find one fault in it. The interiors as well as exteriors can quite simply give anyone an astonished look. All combined this is a beautiful car, full of features and nicely built. This sedan gives a good fuel economy and performance. It also contributes less pollution to environment by emitting out just 129 g/km of CO2 gas. Exteriors

BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Linecomes in 12 color namely Pitch Black, Impherial Blue Brilliant Effect, Black Sapphire, Sparkling Bronze, Melbourne Red, Mineral Grey, Havanna, Liquid Blue, Mineral White, Alpine white, Orion Silver, Glacier Silver. It is a four door car. The vehicle length, width and height being 4624mm X 1811mm X 1429mm respectively. The unladed weight measures to be 1615kg. Xenon headlights with high and low beam are equipped with four rings of LED’s The alloy wheels with wheelbase 2810mm and the front grill is chrome plated to give that extra shine and more importantly sporty look. The exhaust tailpipe, front and side air inlet and kidney grille all are chrome finished to give a metallic look matching with the metallic paint.  Rain sensing wipers, tubeless tires, front fog lights, tinted glass, power antenna and sun/moon roof are the best of many features. 

Interiors

The BMW 3 series 320d Luxury Line is not just from outside but has marvelous interiors too. AC with climate control, electric external door mirror, remote central locking, integrated bottle holders, side armrests are just the few basic features equipped in this car. But the real deal comes into play with professional BMW CD player and radio with 6 speaker, 6.5 color display screen, ambient lighting and 12V power socket. Adjustable steering column, electronic multi tripmeter, temperature display .There has been extensive use of leather on the seats as well on the steering wheel. The stitching is done with Dakota leather black and saddle brown color.  The tank capacity of this car is of 57 litres which is more than sufficient. Engine and Performance

BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Lineis fitted with 2.0 litre DOHC diesel engine which is turbo charged. It has 4 cylinders configured in line with 4 valves per cylinder which are capable of producing a power of 184Bhp at the rate of 4000rpm and torque of about 380Nm at the rate of 1750rpm. This model has an engine displacement of 1995cc. It also bears an automatic transmission with 8 speed gear box which can make it as fast as 235kmph. With 0-100kmph in just 7.6 seconds, the acceleration too is magnificent. The fuel economy reflects at 18.88 km/liter on highway and 14.2kmpl in city which is not that bad.

Braking and Handling

Braking and handling, both these factors strongly depend upon the suspension system and in this area too this car doesn’t disappoint. The front suspension is a double joint sprung strut joined to front axle, while rear is five link suspension exclusively trademarked for BMW and if you combine it with rack and pinion steering, one can have the smoothest of the rides, even on a dirt road. Both front and rear are ventilated disc brakes for superb braking. BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Line has a wheel size of 17 inch which provides a good ground clearance of 140mm. Obviously it is equipped ABS(Anti-lock Brake) system which is common in modern cars. So all in all you all are in safe hands.

Safety features

There is no compromise with safety in the new BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Line. It is featured with 6 airbags, ABS, traction control, emergency brake assist. This car is so intelligently made that if it assumes that a crash is likely to happen, it will further tighten up the seat belts and closes up the windows and sunroof. There is also integrated impact protection on the side doors.  Parking sensors, fog lamps, immobilizer, EBD, ESP, child safety locks, and three seat belts for rear passengers are too made available for our convenience to ensure more safety.  So it is crystal clear that one is both safe and sound in this car.

BMW 3 Series 320d Luxury Line is completely packed with the most advanced comfort and convenient features. The entertainment system in this car is amazing; you get the trademarked BMW audio player with CD changer MP3 player, audio controls are also mounted on steering wheel for our ease, electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seats. The quality of the air can be controlled and an automatic climate control option is there too. The leather seats support the lumbar support and cup holders are present at both front and rear for additional convenience.  Both fuel filler and boot is remotely associated. Viper and headlight too are automatic in this variant. The front doors are fitted with puddle lamps. The basic ajar warning is also there for doors and trunk. The digital fuel indicator also indicates about low fuel. The complete dashboard looks superb which is carefully crafted and leather is too used on it.
