Maruti sells growing while others suffring from dipping salesl

Maruti has been number one company of the country‘s auto sector.  It had made a record in the highest sales ever before. 71,779 units were sold in last year and company was able to book 71,772 cars. Maruti‘s sales graph was seen high with 5.4 percent as compared to the last year. Company sold 67,005 cars in India. Company is making records year by year .These figures revel company’s growth.

Maruti  grew 124 per cent in midsize segment which includes SX4 and desire at 6,590 units. Wagon –R, Zen-Estilo Swift and A-star marked 47,000 in January

Hyundai Motor India couldn’t sell more than 37,216 units .It booked 500 cars less in January 2008 compare to the same period of last year. The 14 percentage slump has been seen in Indian market. It shows a bad performance According to Arvind Saxena as the automotive industry is going through pathetic condition .he also informed about i20 which was lunched recently & got positive response. According to him company has orders 2,500 units from Indian market in spite of lack of liquidity and exported 6500 units of i20 model

Tata Motors announced nine percentage lower sales at 18,331 cars  (compared to January last year) sold better than December sales (9,838).company assured that Indica range sales at 11,433 were the largest in current financial year

 As far as two wheeler industry is concern Hero Honda declared six per cent growth in January and sold 3.15 lakhs units more compare to the previous year.  Ten percent drop was seen in volumes at 2.16 lakh units in December .company is planning to expand market. It shares 56 percent in domestic market .we have a look at Bajajs auto .company has showed 34 percent drop in sales at 110,363 units. company has not been performing good from September , In December sales were 33 per cent down at 1,19215 units. Where TVS motors announced sales figures 93,729 units.
