2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class launched

The German autogiant Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-new W222 series 2014 S-Class for the Indian people at a price tag of 1.57 crore (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The company has launched only the top-end variant S 500 in India which would be followed soon by another variant S 350 CDI Diesel by the second half of 2014.

Mercedes-Benz has left no stone unturned to make it a completely aristocratic vehicle as it has graced it with features like 1,560 watts 24-speaker Burmester audio, 250GB hard disk, and 6-way massaging seats. The german manufacturer has blessed the flagship sedan with a 4.7-litre dual-turbo V8 engine that belts out a mammoth power of 460bhp and a peak torque of 700Nm. Moreover, this highly powerful mill is coupled with a 7G-Tronic plus gearbox. Initially, it will be sold in India enroute CBU. The acceleration is so brisk that it takes just 5.7 seconds to touch the 100kmph from standstill.

The most astounding fact is that all the bulbs of interior cabin are being replaced by the LEDs and so by virtue of all these features, it is on the verge of becoming 'Best Car in the World'. The regular battery founds no place in it, instead an lithium-ion one makes its entry in the plush paradise. Mercedes Benz has also claimed that, this time around, its engine has been tweaked in such an impressive manner that it would consume atleast 20% less fuel as compared to previous version.
