March 25, 2014: Today, Renault has launched the facelift of Fluence at Rs 13.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The updated Fluence gets redesigned bumpers, aggressive front grill and LED DRLs. Inside the cabin, the saloon now features new infotainment system with 3D surround system and eight speakers, R-link infotainment module, satellite navigation. While the driver-aid technologies are also upgraded as it now includes automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers. The power development is done 2.0-litre petrol engine or 1.5 litre K9K diesel turbo engine. The petrol engine develops a power of 135.1bhp while the oil burner churns 108.5bhp. The petrol variant is also available with CVT transmission while the diesel model is offered with five-speed manual transmission.

It comes in two engine options viz. petrol and diesel. The D segment luxurious saloon comes with the new dual clutch transmission in its petrol avatar. The company claims that both the engines (petrol and diesel) are capable of delivering class-leading fuel efficiency. While Petrol E4 with 1997 cc in-line shells out a mileage 13.4 kmpl, the Diesel E2 fitted with 1461 cc mated to 6 speed manual transmission delivers 21.8 kmpl. Renault India has also launched an upgraded version of Fluence Diesel E4 which carries a Step 2 CRDi engine with Variable Geometry Turbo. The Renault Fluence is a mid-size sedan that possesses simple but distinctive appearance.
