Best car in its class. Comfort level is very high. Only maintenance cost is too high but overall performance is good.

I have a Tata Safari 2004 model. Build quality and comfort is up to mark till today. Riding and handling are superb. Overall, I Love Tata safari.

Hello Guys,This is my third Tata Vehicle. PROS:Happy with the services and cost of maintenance it has been like INR 23,000/- in total after such a rugged use. I take it to FARM every weekend dam muddy some time water level is above my headlights never ever give a problem. Rides like a Best on the road. specially on the highway.There is always power available with you ask for it even above 180/KPH.Amazing Mileage of 13/KMPL.Excelling Driving and Seating Comfort.Nice Viewing Angles form the height.Excellent Cooling.Excellent Suspension You don't need to see the potholes and small bumps.CONS:POOR Service at the service stations. Lack of knowledge of mechanism. POOR BRAKING IN MONSOON VERY VERY BAD.Back seat drive is not that great feels like an amusement park ride.The third row seats are not meant for Adults.Poor cooling in third Row.Cabin is not Isolated as it should be.Starring materials are not that good.Poor Turning Radius. This is my review after using the Car for 5 years in city and highway as a primary car.

First of all i want to start my review with the looks of the Safari . When every time i look onto my Safari i always fell in love with the beastly SUV beauty .As Safari has strong road presence and it is the love of many Indians . From my childhood i always wanted to own a Safari. When you get inside this vehicle you feel more comfort and space then any other SUV of its class . Ride quality of this vehicle is fantastic and you will get good confidence when cruising on high Speeds. As far as fuel economy is concerned it is satisfactory as compared to size of vehicle as it provides an average of 12-13 Kmpl . Also the best thing is after sales services provided by TATA is very good . And of course the TATA spare parts are much cheaper then any other automobile company. But there are some darker sides of this beastly SUV . So i am writing the Pros and Cons that i experienced in my Safari ::TATA Safari Pros ::1 Good looks .2 Spacious and comfortable .3 Reasonable Price .4 Great power .5 After sales services is good .6 Cheaper spare parts .7 Great confidence while driving on high speeds .8 Good view of outside due to larger windows .9 Mileage is good .10 AC is superb .Cons of TATA Safari ::1 Life of vehicle is less .2 Poor resale value .3 Lack of instruments in the cabin .4 Lager turning radius . 5 Rusting problem is also there in some areas of vehicle like in the back door 6 Suspension issues in every 50 thousand run of the vehicle .7 Instrument buttons starts breaking after a year of 2 .So in the last i just want to say that people buy Safari because of its great looks and reasonable price but TATA should improve the grey areas of vehicle . And in the last if you want a good SUV in 10 lakhs rupees range just go for Safari .

It's such a royal feel when you get into the massive Safari, it's a really nice and comfortable drive in this SUV. Seats are so comfortable that you won't get tired at all, how so ever longer distances you may drive with it. Made for the whole family, kids really enjoy the sport inside the car and are at times not willing enough to get down from the Safari. I'll love to keep a Safari at all times at home coz with it you can go anywhere, mountains, rough terrains, beaches, wherever. It's so comfortable, really.  

This is like a Bullet in Bike. You should have it once in life, great feeling, strong, safe and comfortable. The music system is not as per standard but rest is amazing Suv.  

I have been driving a tat safari 2.2 vtt dicor for the last about 08 years now and have done about 110000 kms on it. this tata stable workhorse has never let me down and has been a loved family car for almost a decade. To review this car is simple: value for money with no frills. My safari has been driven to places where faint hearted don't dare venture. This beast does not need a road to move, it just sails like a boat on any surface. My children have continued sleeping in the middle seat even when the car was negotiating unpaved mountain streams. A consistent mileage of over 13 with AC has been my experience with this hulk. The ground clearance of safari makes it virtually an all-terrain vehicle and coupled with a solid suspension a comfortable long distance speed. The upholstery, music system, LCD screens, reversing camera and the matting have lasted me over eight years with no complaints. The best part of driving this SUV is the visibility and high seating which gives an imposing view of the road. The cost of ownership when compared to other similar vehicles are quite low and the period between servicing is sufficiently large even for those who stay in small towns. For a vehicle of its class and at the cost at which it is offered, this SUV has a far better service life and beats its competition hands down. To mention a few things which may be added by tata are:- a navigation system , an arm rest cooler and a few more cubby holes. The plastic of the cabin though is sturdy could be given facelift. The spare parts availability and commonality with other cars in tata lineage has been gud but service centre response is one aspect which needs refinement. Technicians at TASS have still not achieved the standards desired from a modern customer service chain. Bigger issues, if any, are handled well but the niggles like creaks and grunts are not addressed until coaxed. Most of the problems which people face with this car is due to non adherence to servicing schedules as laid out. TASS technicians also do not follow procedures as written in the manual and take shortcuts whenever possible. Aggressive marketing and selling gimmickry have not been tata's modus operandi but a few camps or health checkups would be welcome. To sum it up my 13-year-old doll has given the verdict don't change the car and if u want to, buy me another safari.
