Event organisers try their best to keep the crowd calm and run around the venue to see everything is in its place. The pavilions for the cars are still in the process of being set up. Mahindra Officials refuse to disclose any information to the media since they are busy in setting up things for the unveiling of cars.

General Motors displayed a dazzling range of cars at the regional Auto Expo in Hyderabad at Hitex Exhibition Centre scheduled from May 14 - 16, 2010. The display vertical included Chevrolet's latest offerings from the 300 series, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Beat and the most sought after cars Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Captiva.

One of its first kind regional Auto show would be held in the city of Hyderabad this summer. The show is scheduled from 14th to 16th May'2010 and the venue chosen for this state-of art event is Hitex Exhibition Centre, Izzat Nagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. This event is going to be organised jointly by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and supported by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Federation of Automobile Dealers Association of India (FADA).

India's largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra on Sunday announced that it is planning to launch around 7 new variants of its vehicles across various segments. In addition to this company is also planning to start formal production of commercial vehicles like pick-up trucks in US market by the start of first quarter of next fiscal.  According to Mr Pawan Goenka, President of M&M the company will launch about 6-7 variants of its existing models in various segment of vehicles including utility vehicles, commercial vehicles and three wheelers. According to him the launch of new variants of its existing models will help company to grow across different segments.

India has been flourishing as a potential market for small cars and has received a good response at the 10th Auto Expo with all main manufacturers showcasing production ready cars or concepts headed for production. The 10th Auto expo had witnessed the showcase of many significant cars like the much awaited Volkswagen Polo, Chevrolet Electric spark; Tata Motor’s Aria and Magic Iris, Maruti’s Multi Purpose Vehicle Eeco,  the RIII concept; Renault’s  Fluence.

10^th Auto Expo was not only confined to small cars; some of the leading global luxury carmakers also exhibited their models at the grand show and caught the interest of prospective buyers to their pavilion. Auto expo had shown the raise in demand for luxury on wheels and the aspiration of Indian car buyers as auto companies such as BMW and Mercedes had attracted more than the anticipated enquiries for their car models. Mercedes India had exhibited twelve different car models at the expo ranging from Rs 25-lakh to Rs 6-crore which received a decent response from the consumers. Dr Wilfred Aulbur, MD and CEO, Mercedes Benz India commented on this that they put up a wide range of products at the auto expo and consumers in India responded very favourably. Mercedes had seen significant demand for its cars in India and was eyeing very strong for double digit growth by the end of 2010, he further stated. The models that Mercedes showcased at the auto expo were the new S-500 L car, priced at Rs 95 lakh and its new SUV, the GL 350 CDI, priced at Rs 64.90 lakh.

At the Auto Expo 2010 Maruti has launched Eeco an upgraded version of its age-old Omni model. Maruti is hoping that Eeco will very soon witness a good demand in the market. CV Raman, Maruti's chief general manager for engineering research, design and development said that they had seen demand for Eeco growing since its launch from users of Omni and new customers who were looking for a family car with more space and comfort. The customers demand to swap Omni with Eeco was an encouraging sign for them to pitch bookings, he added.

Delhi Auto Expo 2010 which started from 5^th January, 2010 winded up on 11^th January. The seven-day Auto Expo is considered as the biggest Auto Expo in world in terms of visitors. The number of visitors crossed the expected figure of 18 lakh by 2 lakh. This time the number of exhibitors also came in good number which also a record for Auto Expo. The very first day of the Auto Expo was dedicated to new launches and displays of vehicles. Totally, around 25 new vehicles were launched in the gala event at Pragati Madan. However, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers took this tally to over 100. 15 concept vehicles were showcased in the event. Almost all the domestic and international auto makers took part in the show which include Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Fiat, Jaguar and Land Rover, Skoda, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Honda, Mahindra and Mahindra, Premier Motors, Renault, Chevrolet, Hyundai etc. On the other hand, two-wheeler makers displayed their new and existing vehicles at the show.

The auto component and accessories section was set-up at a separate big hall in Delhi auto show. A large hall in two floors was full of automobile accessories and component companies. A array of automobile accessories and components showcased by from many major national and international players. A large range of automobile accessories was available at the hall like a variety of audio systems, roof top monitors, LCD screens, car cameras, Multimedia Navigation System and lots of car entertainment accessories.

Delhi Auto Expo has an important place in the global automotive scenario and has its own place among global shows. Auto Expo 2010 has shown the progress and status of the automotive industry in the country. Delhi Auto Expo has developed its own brand among the peer shows such as Frankfurt, Tokyo, Detroit and Shanghai which is indicated by the fact that global automotive industry was interested in greater parting of dates between Detroit Auto Show and Delhi Auto Expo.

Auto Expo 2010 was the biggest Indian auto fair and auto companies had come up with their best show. Renault, French Carmaker had set his pavilion at Lake Hangar of Pragati Maidan enlightened with the display of car models from its portfolio. The pavilion was catching the crowd with the carmodels at the rotating dais, gorgeous models posing for the cars and attractive lighting.  Renault’s reception was providing information to the viewers and media in form of brochures and press release. The company’s representatives were present to entertain the viewers and answer their queries. The pavilion was dazzled with the launch of Renault Fluence, Laguna, Logan, Twizy, Koleos, Megane, and F1.

At the Auto expo 2010 Premier, India’s pioneering car maker had set up their pavilion at Lake Outdoor of Pragati Maidan which was dazzling with the showcase of its carmodels. For the enthusiastic viewers and media there was arrangement of reception where the company’s associates were providing information about the company and the models and were distributing brochures and press release to media. The pavilion was looking attractive with the car models on the rotating dais along with beautiful models posing for them. Premier had launched a compact SUV named Rio. The car aims to serve the segment between mid-sized passenger cars and large utility vehicles. The Rio is powered by Premier’s 1489cc turbo diesel engine which is based on Peugeot technology that delivers 65BHP and also fuel efficiency of about 16kms/liter. Rio based on a Daihatsu model has comfortable seating capacity for 5 adults. To boost up the sale Premier is offering a 3 year warranty.

The Jaguar pavilion was at the hall no.11 along with its Indian owner Tata Motors at New Delhi Auto expo 2010. Right in the middle of the back wall of Jaguar pavilion there was a bold and appealing Jaguar logo with its trade mark lion. On the left corner of the Jaguar pavilion there was a separate space for the Land Rover. The whole pavilion was designed in the black color theme in which some car models were displayed on revolving dais. The car models were showcased by the models wearing black color clothes and contrasting silver color jewellery. What making the car models even more appealing was well focused lighting arrangement. With every displayed car model its a small information board was provided. In the middle of the Jaguar pavilion there was a large LCD screen which was displaying all features as well as demo drives of the car models.

GM pavilion at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 was one of the best designed and one of the largest pavilion there. The company had used a massive 2000 sqft pavilion to showcase its large range of upcoming vehicles. Special preparations were made to showcase its popular and upcoming models which include Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet volt, Chevrolet Spark Electric, Chevrolet Aveo CNG and Chevrolet Camaro. While some car models were displayed at revolving daises, at the same time some models were provided separate space in the Pavilion. The main stage of the Chevrolet Pavilion was equipped with a high quality sound system as well as there was perfect arrangement for lighting.

Mercedes pavilion had set up at hall no. 15 fascinated with the showcase of car models. The environment went buzzing with stupendous dance performances and a not-so-common unveiling of car models. The performers unwrapped the cars on skates and with music energizing the pavilion with verve and enthusiasm. Mercedes has brought an array of cars with them to the Auto Expo. The Mercedes Pavilion represented the theme of “Pure Fascination” and every corner and every model from Mercedes was purely fascinating. The auto expo was crowded with media and viewers who were very much excited to get glimpse of the models. The company had also arranged reception for the media people to provide information about the company and the models, along with distribution of brochures and bags to media. The launch of the car models was attended by actress, Bipasha Basu.

Tata Motors pavilion at Auto Expo was set up in the Hall no 11 which was shared by its group company Jaguar and Land Rover. Fiat pavilion was also grouped to Tata Motors and Jaguar. The reception of the company was coloured in white while the receptionist were in green saari and blue blouse, it's was something Indian look which Tata seemed to convey. However, the company did not place female models with its car models. On the other hand, Jaguar and Land Rover cars were sparking with foreign beauties. There was a big shortage of Tata cars leaflets as every visitor wanted to have that. The visitors could touch and feel the comfort of Tata cars at Tata Motors pavilion but a few car companies allowed the same till last day of Auto Expo. It was very difficult to meet any Tata Motors senior officials but juniors. The company set up a launching pad for Tata Aria only. Other new launches were done at the same place where they were displayed. Totally 37 vehicles from Tata and Jaguar, Land Rover were displayed at the Auto Expo. Tata Motors and Tata Sons Chairman, Ratan N Tata unveiled all the new vehicles at the pavilion.

German car manufacturer Audi displayed an exceptional pavilion at Delhi Auto Expo. Audi had set its pavilion at hall no.10 along with Skoda at the show. The Audi pavilion was themed as per its Centennial Celebrations. The Audi pavilion was arranged in a large 800 square meters at which company had designed to reflect Audi’s characteristic “terminal” architecture. The bold new Audi logo with its brand massage Vorsprung durch Technik was adding more glamor to the pavilion. The whole pavilion was glimmering in three Audi trademark colors. The Pavilion was set up in a unique design with proper arrangements of the car models as well as keeping in mind proper visibility. Lights at the pavilion were well focused on car models to make it more attractive as well as appealing. Some displayed cars were on revolving dais and some premium car models like Audi Sports back concept were provided a separate space at Audi pavilion and a separate graphic background. Right in the middle of the common gallery of Audi and Skoda there was a reception counter of Audi to provide brochures and press release to media. In the back side of the Sports back concept car there was a large LCD screen which was showcasing the car model from every angle.

Dilip Chhabria's (an internationally acclaimed auto designer) Pavilion at Hall No 6 A and Stall No. OD 1 in the Auto Expo 2010, out-stood its contemporaries with its mere panache, class and stylish displays. The pavilion was glutted with logo of DC design (in white color) highlighting its motto well that in the field of Automotive design, enjoys unprecedented influence within the industry. Dilip launched three cars here in association with DY Patil Group, of the DYP-DC Centre for Automotive Research and Studies namely Modded Innova, DC Imperator and YingYang mini bus/van. The launch became a talk-of the town with its pavilion attracting great attention amongst the presence of well-known Bollywood celebrity Vivek Oberoi.

10th Auto Expo was a huge success for carmakers and Skoda was nowhere behind. Skoda had set its pavilion at hall no.10 opposite to Audi’s pavilion. The company had tried its best to provide information to the viewers by setting up the reception in front where the viewers can avail the information about the company and the car models. The company’s associates were also distributing brochures and press release to the media. The models deployed to pose with the cars were actually aware of their technical specifications. Every car model was beautifully displayed on the revolving dais. To bind the viewers’ attraction the company has also come up with lucky draws.

Maruti Pavilion was set up at the entrance of the Pragati Maiden's Gate No 5. The pavilion in Hall no 14 was the biggest for any auto company. The entrance of the pavilion was designed in such a way that it always seemed closed. But as you go nearer, the way for entry appears. The inside of the pavilion was designed to give it shape of space. The entrance's floor was illuminated with green colour lights. The concept car of Maruti, Maruti R3, was displayed at the center of the pavilion with other new cars and Suzuki bikes. On the other hand, one section of pavilion was dedicated to modified Maruti cars in India. While other section booked for displaying Maruti Eeco Charged and its technology. The company had provided the facility to design your own car virtually at a separate section of the pavilion. Maruti officials were there to explain everything about the new products except price tag. They were denied to disclose or give any idea of pricing of products. Female models were adding to the looks of the vehicles. Sometimes they were also seen giving detailed information about vehicles along with they were standing.

Honda Motors Pavilion in Hall No. 06 and stall no. 6.1 dazzled with some amazing launches and breathtaking displays. Apart from the stupendous Cars at the display, a factor that caught everyone's eye was Azimo (Advanced step in innovative mobility), a humanoid robot. The Robot delighted the audiences with its brilliance and entertaining performances like dancing on a bollywood number “All is Well”, playing with the football, making cute gestures towards the audience etc. Shining cars were displayed on rotating dais, with ravishing models posing with the same. Top-Honda officials were seen greeting those present there. A well-managed reception at the entrance of the pavilion helped all those gathered with information on various products of Honda Motors distributing brochures, pamphlets etc. The pavilion was chocked with enthusiastic crowd and energetic media.

BMW fired big guns at the Auto Expo 2010 with its pavilion shining great in Hall No- 09 along with the pavilion of Bosch in the same zone. The major highlights of the Pavilion were the exciting launches and display of some much-awaited and much-anticipated Cars. For the enthusiastic and anticipating crowd of general visitors, Business representatives, people from media, BMW's reception at the pavilion had a good amount of information displayed in form of brochures, press releases and verbal information dissipated through their representatives and executives. Female models deployed to pose along with the cars displayed, actually had tremendous know-how about the technical specifications of the Cars, guiding the general visitors. There was also a well furnished cafe for refreshments built adjacent to the pavilion. The Cars displayed on a rotating dais, stupendous lighting, beautiful models posing with a smile, informed representatives helping visitors etc, made BMW's pavilion attract attention at full spree.

Delhi Auto Expo 2010 at Pragati Maidan is the largest Indian auto fair. People were excited to see the hottest cars that were revealed in front of them. The luxury car manufacturer, Volkswagen had set a very wide pavilion in 1500 sq meter area at hall number 12. At the entrance there was a reception for providing information about the company and its models. Volkswagen Polo, Polo Cup and Volkswagen Phaeton were displayed on revolving dais. There were gorgeous models deployed to pose around car models who were surprisingly also aware about the technical specifications of Volkswagen cars. The Volkswagen and Tata’s Pavilion at Auto Expo were facing each other. A bold and beautiful Volkswagen logo was fitted at the top of the pavilion. Inside the pavilion the company had also set up a meeting section for their business meetings. The company representatives were providing information to the viewers.

Fiat Auto had set its pavilion at the hall no 11 along with Tata and Jaguar. There was a reception at the entrance of the pavilion for information about the company and car models. The company deputed some gorgeous models in white and red clothes. To our surprise, the models were taught lessons about the Fiat cars. The Fiat Pavilion at Auto Expo was facing Tata's Pavilion. Every displayed cars were set on revolving dias. A bold and beautiful Fiat logo was fitted at the top of the pavilion. A meeting section was also set up there for business meetings. Fiat officials and female models were giving information about the Fiat cars. One common thing was seen at every pavilion, lucky draws were there for visitors every day.

At the Auto Expo, global companies have displayed their greener side but this green race is won by global car market leader Toyota, which launched its Prius hybrid with a price tag of Rs 26.55 lakhs. The car is loaded with Toyota Hybrid System II and it will be launched in three driving modes- power, eco and electric. Due to prohibitive duties on the cars which make them expensive Toyota took a long time to launch its Prius in India. This is the second hybrid car to be launched in India after Honda Civic Hybrid which was a failure in the green section.

With the presence of Global automakers in the robust Indian market, the country is developing as a platform where the companies are performing novel experiments not seen before so as to lower the cost levels. Indian automarket has always take care of the fact that the customers here are very much price sensitive which can be proved by the fact that Maruti Suzuki is dominating the automarket since last 30 years.

Tata motors launched Tata Nano last year on the theme of low cost that has achieved modest success so far. While at the 10th Auto Expo 10 new concept cars have launched but they will not be matching that level of pricing. To match the lower price range Japanese automakers are expanding parts procurement to the Indian suppliers which was previously imported from Japan.

Auto Expo, the biggest auto-extravaganza opens for visitors today on 7th Jan'10. Auto Expo, the only show in India accredited by OICA, is a delight for auto-enthusiasts. Day 3 saw some exciting launches by big brands in the Automobile industry along with reigning enthusiasm among the general public. Maruti Suzuki launched the much-awaited Maruti Eeco today along with the display of concept electric version of the Eeco, named Eeco Charge, SX4 Hybrid, Maruti RIII, Ritz, Sx4 hatchback, Kizashi, Grand Vitara and other products in its line. Renault's pavilion displayed Megane Coupe, Fluence and Colous, with the latter two expected to launch in the next two years. The pavilion in close proximity to Chevrolet faced security problems and mismanagement as visitors were seen clicking photos standing on Car-dice. Chevrolet showcased Spark-LPG, Volt and Captiva Extreme.

Maruti Suzuki displayed its Concept Eeco Charge car at the ongoing 10th Auto Expo. Concept Eeco charge is one of the two eco-friendly projects undertaken by MSI under the Government initiated programmes by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Source (MNRE) and the National Hybrid Propulsion Programme (NHPP). MSI will display a fleet of Eeco Charge electric and SX4 Hybrid at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in October 2010 with an intent to showcase electric and hybrid technology at Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti today has revealed Maruti Eeco, yet another addition to its pavilion at the Auto Expo. The car has been brought in the C segment especially designed for the Indian roads. Maruti Suzuki India MD and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi commented on its launch that they had introduced Maruti Eeco to satisfy the consumers who aspire for spacious and comfortable car. Maruti Eeco has been revealed along with three variants 5 Seater Standard, 5 Seater AC and 7 Seater Standard. Maruti officials have announced its commercial launch by April 2010. The 5 Seater Standard will come with a price tag of Rs 2.59 lakhs while the 5 Seater Ac will be priced at Rs 2.89 lakhs. The 7 Seater Standard will be available for Rs 2.75 lakhs. These prices are ex showroom prices of Delhi.

Hyundai launched Hyundai i Mode at Delhi Auto Expo. Hyundai i Mode is a six seater based on the concept of a mono cab. It features high end entertainment facilities in the comfort of your car such as Digital Home theater, wireless internet for users to browse while they cruise ! Honda Siel cars India today unveiled the Honda New Small car concept in a press conference at 10th Auto Expo 2010.  The Honda New Small Concept is a concept model of the upcoming Honda Small car in India to which Honda Motors is especially developing for emerging markets like India. In addition to the New Small Car Concept Honda is also exhibiting the CR-Z Concept 2009, a concept model for a new hybrid model, which was unveiled for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009.

Second significant day at the Delhi Auto expo saw Fiat's pavilion packed with smashing back to back showcases. Fiat launches Fiat 500 Diesel, Fiat linea DUALOGIC Transmission, Fiat Linea T-JET, Fiat Punto-Natural Power (Hybrid), Fiat Punto Sports and Fiat Punto Trendz. Fiat has always been targetting Indian Automotive market and have shown their commitment to the Car-lovers pan-India that their efforts in innovation would continue for years to come, were the comments from Rajeev Kapoor, President & CEO, Fiat India .

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd (TKM) added two more new car models at 10th Auto Expo 2010. The new models are Fine-S and Camry Hybrid. The Fine-S is regarded as the shape of the future. Shah-Rukh Khan participates in Hyundai's Green move by unveiling the Hyundai i10 Electric Version today at the Delhi Auto Expo. Hyundai Motors, the Korean car-maker also launched Hyundai H1, Hyundai Genesis Coupe and Hyundai imode on the Second day of 10th Auto Expo. With Hyundai Motors flagship model Hyundai i10 topping the sales charts in present scenario, Hyundai i10 electric would carry on the legacy.

Hyundai unveiled Hyundai H1 at Auto Expo today at Pragati Maidan.The car will be available as a nine seater in India whereas the 12 seater model is available in the International Market. Hyundai H1 will be available to its users in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant is powered by 2.4L, 2359 cc engine and delivers power of 128.4 KW at 5500 rpm, 227.7 Nm torque at 2800 rpm. The diesel variant is powered by 2.5 L ,2359 cc engine, powered by 125 KW at 3800 rpm, torque of 392 nm at 2000 rpm.

Today at the Auto Expo, Hyundai Motors India Limited launched an electric variant of its flagship model i10. This launch has seen the presence of Shahrukh Khan who is the brand ambassador of Hyundai. This model has debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009. This electric variant of Hyundai i10 is powered by 49KW electric motor which will deliver the maximum power of 67Kw and maximum torque of 21.4Kgm. This electric motor will facilitate the car to reach acceleration from 0 to 100Kmph within 15 sec.

It was a busy day at the Delhi Auto Expo held at Pragati Maidan where the media kept its eyes fixed on the hottest wheels and the latest drives. Mr Peter Kronschnabl, President BMW India has announced that CKD(Completely Knocked Down) Production will be commenced at Chennai based manufacturing plant by the end of 2010. BMW X1 has demonstrated company's fine sense for pioneer automotive trends and it has opened up a new luxury segment in the Compact Sports Activity/ Sports Utility vehicle class. It has young and sporty design which awakens the enthusiasm for driving.

The all new Honda City was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo. According to the JD Power 2009 India intial quality,it has been given "the best mid sized car in the intial quality" award. Moreover other models that Honda uncovered today were Honda CRV, Honda Jazz, Honda Accord and Honda Accord V6 and the main attraction an unnamed Honda model given the temporary name of "Honda New Small".

Toyota Etios unveiled today at the 10th Auto Expo, managed to draw huge attention amongst many Concept Cars launched today. Toyota Etios, would be launched in both Hatchback and Sedan model. The Sedan would be launched first in late 2010 followed by the hatchback in 2011. Toyota Motors, is undoubtedly recognising India as the most potential automotive market and with the launch of Toyota Etios plans to compete the likes of Maruti Suzuki. Top officials from Toyota promise to get the car with best possible competitive price for the Indian consumer. The Etios will have 1.4 litre diesel and 1.2 liter or 1.3 liter petrol engine. Toyota Etios, Toyota Prius and a total of 14 cars are to be showcased here by Toyota Motors.

Toyota Motors with a huge pavilion at the 10th Auto Expo in New Delhi displayed the all new Toyota Prius, a full-hybrid electric mid-size car, that will be launched in late 2010 for the Indian customers as quoted by Hiroshi Nakagawa, Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Limited. Sure to give a strong competition to Honda Civic-hybrid, Toyota Prius has been recognised as the most fuel-efficient car sold in US. Prius can be propelled by Petrol as well as electric power. Fuel efficiency is wisely achieved as the engine automatically turns off when the car stops. Toyota Prius comes with an on-board computer program which controls the timing to use the engine, motor, or both to recharge the battery to maximizing efficiency.

At Pragati Maidan, Delhi the companies are coming up with novel and beautiful cars for their excited viewers and every organization is putting up their best efforts to grab the attention of the media. Tata group Chairman Ratan Tata unveiled his yet another invention Tata Venture at the Auto Expo. Tata Venture is a hatchback sized eight seater MPV(Multi Purpose Vehicle).

Mercedes-Benz unveiled GL class, CDI and S 500L today (Tuesday 5th Jan'10) at the 10th Auto Expo in New Delhi, India. With Mercedez-Benz GLK arriving in the Indian market, Ratan Tata is sure to give competition to the recent crop of small SUV's, Audi Q5 and BMW X3 head-on. Tata Motors' yet another invention is Tata Indica Vista Electric that was showcased today at the Delhi Auto Expo at Pragati Maidan. The eco friendly car comes with a PERM Magnet Motor, 55 KW of power,160 Nm torque.The all new Tata Indica Vista electric is a 1 speed FWD and touches a top speed of 128 kmph.It can go from 0 to 30 kmph in just 4.5 seconds, from 0 to 60 kmph in a matter of 90 seconds and can run upto 160 km per charge with the battery capacity of 26.6 kwh. The new Tata Indica Vista Electric with a seating capacity of 4 passengers is a five door model that comes with dual front airbags.

Today Volkswagen comes up with a major surprise to the viewers by showcasing Volkswagen Race Polo at the grand show. The excitement on the faces of viewers there was quiet apparent and they were on their toes to take pictures. Its a sports version of Volkswagen Polo with a more powerful engine.

Yeti-Skoda's showstopper at the Auto Expo 2010 and its first ever SUV (Sport utility Vehicle), in India, is known for its exclusive features, safety, comfort and countless functionalities. Skoda Yeti, a stylish sporty SUV was launched in Global Markets 5 months back at the Geneva auto show 2009, and is one of the most successful models of Skoda in International Market. The Volkwagon beauty will be available in showroom from March 2010 with both petrol and diesel engines having three variants in both the engines respectively. The name of the variants are Trend Line, Comfort Line, and High Line. The preparation of the Auto Expo 2010 was in last stage on 4th January. All the participant were giving final touch to their respective pavilions. On Monday, a large number of people gathered to have a look on the preparation which includes general people, media person, event teams etc. We noticed pavilions of major auto players like Hyundai, Honda, Tata, Maruti, Audi, Fiat, Volkswagen, BMW, Skoda, Mercedes, Chevrolet etc. Major two-wheeler companies are also taking part in the world's second largest Auto Expo after China. These companies includes Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, Harley Davidson, Honda etc.

While people wait with anticipation to see the first look of their favourite cars, the company plans to keep the suspense alive and has hidden the cars in the trolley being carried towards the pavilion set for the display. Hyundai's officials are present at the event ready with their speeches it seems ! Pragati Maidan is flooded with media persons and event organisers making sure that everything goes perfect. The stages for the cars are still being set up. Hyundai will display Hyundai H1 (a 14 seater mini van), 2 sports car, Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai i10 electric tomorrow on 5th January.

Auto Expo is the Complete Automotive Show in this part of the world, organized jointly by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). The first Auto Expo was held in 1986, the second in 1993, and the third in 1996. Since then, Auto Expo has been institutionalized as a biennial show. Last Auto Expo was held in 2008, and now the time has arrived for the grand Auto Expo 2010. This show also marks the Silver Jubilee Year of Auto Expo. Auto Expo 2010 is spread over 140,000 square meters with over 2100 participants. Over 1.8 million visitors, and 150,000 business visitors are expected to visit. There is international participation from 25 countries.

Excitement and enthusiasm is at its best as the Delhi Auto Expo is about to start. The 10th edition of the Delhi Auto expo  is scheduled from January 5-11 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The first day of Auto expo is generally reserved as Media Day but this time besides Media Day it will also be called as Goodwill day in which special arrangements will be made for physically handicapped. This time the Auto expo is expected to draw around two million visitors which would make it the biggest ever auto show in India. Audi, German auto manufacturer, is believed to display a new car model Audi A7 at up-coming Delhi Auto Expo. This model was introduced at America Auto Expo in 2009 for the first time and it would take another one year to launch in India. The Audi A7 looks like the Mercedes-Benz CLS which comes loaded with a powerful engine and low-roofline. The company may showcase Audi R8 and other models. In the same event, the company's new logo will also be launched.

Renault Duster, a new brand SUV with attractive features, is likely to be displayed at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The Duster is all prepared to be unveiled in Brazil and Russia with 2 and 4 WD options coupled with automatic transmission. The SUV possesses the platform of Logan and suits those who desires a comfortable vehicle. The SUV comes fitted with a 1.6 litre petrol engine which develops a peak power of 110 bhp and the 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine churns 85/105 bhp of maximum power. The company has an entry level sedan in the form of Mahindra Renault.

Tata Motors is mulling to launch its concept luxury saloon model Tata Prima at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2010. The concept car was displayed at the Geneva Auto Show 2009 for the first time. The saloon model was designed by Italy based design studio Pinanfarina. However, official comment is awaited but sources close to the Auto Expo development confirmed the news. The car is expected to be introduced in India in next two-three years. On the other hand, the model will be shortly available in European market.

Mercedes-Benz GL will be launched at the up-coming Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The GL is a crossover SUV which might be loaded with a 3.5 litre V6 engine that develops a peak power of 268 hp with seven-speed transmission. The Mercedes-Benz GL will be having automatic transmission with 4 WD, seven seat capacity, large boot and macho exteriors. The crossover SUV will be pitted against Toyota Land crusier, Range Rover and Audi Q7. The other models on display by the company include new C250 CGI which is powered by a 1796cc turbo charged direct injection petrol mill and belts out around 204 bhp of power and peak torque of 31.6 kmg.

Tata Motors, one of the largest auto maker in India, is expected to launch a couple of new vehicles at the up-coming Auto Expo. According to sources, the new launches will include Tata Indicruz and Tata Indica Vista Igins. Apart from these, the company will launch a Jaguar-branded luxury saloon. The Tata Indicruz is supposed to be a crossover utility vehicle (CUV) and might be priced at Rs 6-8 lakh in India. The CUV is to be pitted against Chevrolet Tavera, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova. The Indicruz was displayed at Geneva Auto Show in 2005. The CUV is reported to be based on Tata Indica Vista platform.

Mahindra and Mahindra, the leader in SUV segment in India, is believed to display its hybrid variant of Mahindra Scorpio at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2010. However, the commercial launch of the vehicle is expected to be in next two years. The hybrid Mahindra Socrpio will be a diesel-electric hybrid version contrary to the general case of petrol-electric model. The new model is expected to give a mileage of around 16 kmpl. There are also reports of launching a hydrogen vehicle by Mahindra and Mahindra.

Electric and diesel version of Hyundai's flagship model, Hyundai i10, might be launched at the up-coming Auto Expo 2010. These launches are expected from a long time in India. The Hyundai i10 has left behind Hyundai Santro on the sales front in 2009. Apart from this, news of launching Hyundai i30 at the expo is also in the air. In addition to this, Indian car enthusiasts may also be blessed by the launch of Hyundai Avante and Hyundai Verna Transformer at the Auto Expo. The company is well prepared to introduce its new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Hyundai Santa Fe at the show. The new SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe, will have to compete with Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda CRV.

Maruti Suzuki, the largest auto manufacturer in India, is all set to showcase its new compact car Maruti Eeco at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi. This much-talked about car will be equipped with a 1200cc powertrain which is claimed to be highly fuel efficient. The new car will comply with BS-IV emission norms which are to be come into force from April 2010. The Maruti Eeco will be available in two variants that will be having three-row and two-row seating arrangements and can accommodate five and seven passengers respectively. The innovative engine of the car generates 73 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm while it belts out 101 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 rpm.

Volkswagen has recently launched its compact car Volkswagen Beetle in India and it is all set to showcase its second launch at Delhi Auto Expo in January 2010. The second launch after Volkswagen Beetle will be Volkswagen Polo - the first family car from VW in India. At present, the company sells Volkswagen Jetta and Volksawagen Passat in India. The Volkswagen Polo which falls in the A2 segment of compact cars in India, has to compete with Fiat Punto and Maruti Swift. However, the commercial launch of the car would be held in March 2010.

Maruti Suzuki, the largest auto maker in India, has big plans for Delhi Auto Expo 2010. According to media reports, the company will display around 17 car models including Maruti Eeco at the show. Out of 17 car models display, there would be some new launches for India as well. The cars which are sure to be launched are Maruti SX4 and Suzuki Kizashi. The Suzuki Kizashi, one of the best car model of Maruti's parent company Suzuki, is a flagship model in the D-segment. Kizashi is a term used in Japanese language that means a sign of great things to come. The flagship model of D-segment comes loaded with a 2.4 litre VVT petrol mill along with six-speed manual transmission. The mill of the car belts out a maximum power of 131kw at 6500 rpm. The Indian arm of Japanese firm Suzuki will launch Maruti SX4 at the show as well.

Honda India has confirmed that it is going to showcase its new small car concept (Code Name:-2CV) in New Delhi Auto Expo. Honda is all set to position this  model in the small car segment below Jazz which was launched in a premium hatchback segment. Initially the car will be manufactured in India and it is expected that Honda will also establish its manufacturing base for this global small car in India. Honda has named this car as “ New Small Concept”. The company has not disclosed any details of the car till now.

Mahindra and Mahindra, homegrown auto maker, has revealed its plans for upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. The company President Pawan Goenka told that an electric vehicle from Mahindra and Mahindra will be displayed at the Auto Expo along with its entire range of two-wheelers, light commercial vehicles (LCV), utility vehicles (UV) and trucks. This also include a mini-truck, named Mahindra Maxximo, is pitted against Tata Ace and is expected to be priced similarly. The company intends to launch the electric vehicle in India by the end of the next year. Mr Goneka added that the company has developed CNG and hydrogen vehicles and planned to launch them in next 12 to 18 months.

Mahindra Renault has indicated that the company will launch a new variant of Logan in the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo, 2010. The new variant of the car is christened New Mahindra Renault Logan Tourer. The cost of the new sedan Logan is expected to be around Rs 5.5 lakh. The new Logan would be available in three stunning colour options such as diamond white, mist silver and java brown. New Mahindra Renault Logan Tourer will be launched in both petrol and diesel options.

Tata Motors, one of the India's largest car manufacturer will showcase its Tata Indicruz model in the Delhi Auto Expo, starting 5th January next year. The Tata Indicruz model is expected to be officially launched in the first quarter of next year by the company. Tata Indicruz is a MUV (Multi Utility vehicle) that has been designed to provide a multi purpose vehicle which can be drove in cities as comfortably as in off road journeys.

The Tata Indicruz model has been manufactured at the platform of  Tata New Safari model and it is coming with the same 2.2L Safari Dicor engine. Besides the latest engine the Tata Indicruz model is coming with all new safety features like antilock braking system and multiple airbags. It  has been designed with a new and stylish exterior designing while  the interiors of the car are comfort providing and spacious.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors, one of the leading auto manufacturer in India, will launch its hatchback model Toyota Etios at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2010. This is a concept car from the company and its production is likely to be commenced by late 2010. The hatchback model is reported to be powered by petrol and diesel engines. The car is believed to be priced below Rs 4.65 lakh in India. The company has targeted India, Brazil and Russia as emerging markets for the car. As mentioned above, the car's production will begin by late 2010 in India while Brazil has to wait for one more year.

Chevrolet Cruze, which was launched earlier this year was welcomed by the users in the Indian market and has continued to do well.Given the response, General Motors has decided to launch another model with automatic transmission in it in a few months. P Balendran, Vice President, GM India disclosed,"Our automatic transmission variants of the existing models are delivering good volumes and we would like to extend the same in our newly-launched Cruze model." Though the company has made plans to launch the model,General Motors have not mentioned the date of the launch explicitly.However,according  to rumour mills,the new Chevrolet Cruze might be launched after the Delhi Auto Expo 2010, sometime around the third week of January.

Skoda Auto one of the most popular premium car brand in the world automobile market will showcase its first ever SUV in India, Skoda Yeti at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. The Auto expo will be held in Delhi from January 5, 2010. Though the model will be officially launched by year 2011. Skoda Yeti is among the most successful Skoda models in world automobile markets. The Skoda Yeti model is characterized with a unique design and with all new generation safety features like airbags and antilock braking system. The model is among one of the most comfortable SUVs as company has given a serious consideration to the comfort of the passengers.

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer said that it is expecting to close the fiscal year with a growth of 18-20 percent in sales. According to the market analysts the government stimulus packages and easier car finance are the main factors in this double digit growth. According to Mr Shashank Srivastava, chief general manager of marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, the company is expecting that the double digit growth will continue this month though a slowdown in sales may occur in the forth quarter starting from next month. While the global economic slowdown impacted the auto sector at the end of year 2008, the demand picked up again due to stimulus packages announced by the government. The other factors which helped auto sector to revamp includes easier financing, launch of new models and the overall positive consumer sentiment.

Auto Expo. The 10the Auto Expo commences from January 5 and will conclude on January 11, 2010. On the other hand, Toyota and Honda are reported to showcase their future concepts of small cars in India. The concept cars would be launched in India next two years. Ford is also reported to launch its Ford Figo in the event.

Honda India one of the largest car manufacturer in India has announced yesterday that it will present its new small car model in Delhi Auto Show. This announcement came days after Toyota Motors' announcement that it would roll out a new small car model in the Delhi auto expo. In a statement given to the reporters, the company said that the "Honda New Small Concept car" has been specially developed for emerging markets like India. Though the company hasn't disclosed any other details of the vehicle but it is expected that the model will be launched in the same price range as the price range of Maruti Swift and Maruti Ritz.

Japanese car giant Toyota on Thursday told that it will display 14 production and concept vehicles, which will be including low-cost compact car, at the forthcoming Auto Expo in the Capital. Toyota's modern technologies in the form of concept and hybrid cars, highlighting the world's largest car maker's environmentally-friendly technology, will be on display during the event. Toyota Kirloskar Motor deputy managing director-marketing Sandeep Singh said that the Auto Expo in Delhi is the most ideal platform in India to highlight new product range that will showcase Toyota's technological advancement and innovation.

All major automakers around the world are now focusing on the upcoming Delhi Auto show where they find opportunity to display their new models as well as attract them. Ultimate Motors, a Dubai-based distributor of exotic and luxury sports cars in the world, is reported to bring its three brands of Super Hyper Cars (SHCs) in India by the end of the current year. The yet-to-launch SHCs are- Arash, Shelby and Zenvo including Ultimate Aero. Ultimate Aero's top speed is 413 kmph and its powerful engine belts out 1,183 horsepower. The awesome power and top speed give it the world's fastest car. The Aero can achieve 0-60 kmph sprint in just 2.78 seconds.

In the last month, record 1.67 lakh passenger vehicles were sold in the country. Auto makers are expecting to cross this sales mark in October. The fact is supported by country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki. Shashank Srivastava, chief general manager (marketing), Maruti, told that the company is expecting 25 per cent increase in the sales in the month.

There are four lakh Toyota cars in India. This mark is achieved in the 11^th year of its inception in India. Toyota, world's largest carmaker by sales, intends to increase TKM dealerships from 93 to 150 by 2011. By the year 2011, the company will introduce a small car and for its launch the second production plant would be set up in Bangalore at an investment of Rs 3,200 crore.

Hold your breath! Luxury car makers are planning to launch diesel models in India thereby adding more customers in the tally. There are some leading car makers in the list- Maruti, BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai. BMW might introduce new E class in diesel engine. This new model will be displayed in Auto Expo 2010. Moreover, Maruti to roll out diesel variant of Maruti SX4. Recently, Maruti Suzuki has launched automatic transmission of Maruti SX4. Hyundai is also gearing up to unveil diesel variant of Hyundai Sonata. On the other hand, Mercedes, Audi and BMW sell more diesel products than petrol units. After the launch of diesel variant of Toyota Fortuner SUV, sales of petrol variant of Honda CR-V is under pressure. The production of the former is learnt to be increased by more than 60 per cent in October. TKM, deputy MD (sales and marketing), Sandeep Singh says that higher power and torque figures can be achieved through advanced diesel technology that can satisfy premium car buyers. He added that Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova, Toyota Corolla and Toyota Camry's sells is more than petrol variants.

Fiat Linea T-Jet will be brought in Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi. The new model of Fiat will have 1.4L petrol mill in turbo-charged version. If the car launches, it will be the first in the segment with a turbo-charged petrol mill. The power mill of Fiat T-jet will belt out 120Ps of peak power at 5000 rpm and churn out 206 Nm of maximum torque at 1750 rpm. As far as acceleration is concerned, it will achieve 0-100 kmph sprint in 9.2 seconds. The peak speed of the car is 200 kmph. Apart from the power pack powertrain, the vehicle will sport reverse parking sensors, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.

Volkswagen is planning to increase its dealerships in India from 25 to 40 in the year 2009-10 thereby intends to sell over 3,000 units in the same period. Recently the company opened a new dealer in Rajkot. According to Neeraj Garg, member of the Board and Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen aims to open dealerships in Kolkata, Indore, Goa, Cochin, Jaipur, Vijaywada, Bangalore, Surat, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and Bhopal, Jalandhar, Khozhikode, Delhi, Lucknow, Noida, Chandigarh and Chennai.

Maruti India, which is the country's largest car maker company on Monday reported a 32.45 per cent jump in total sales at 85,415 units in October
compared to the same period last year. Maruti Suzuki stated that sales in the domestic market grew up to 21.01 per cent to 71,551 units in the last month from 59,127 units in the same month last year, while exports rose over two-fold to 13,864 units compared with 5,363 units in the year-ago period.

Sales of the company's oldest model Maruti 800 declined by 5.53 per cent at 3,124 units from same period last year, while A2 segment that comprised of Maruti Alto, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Estilo, Maruti Swift, Maruti A-Star and Maruti Ritz witnessed a growth of 18.43 per cent at 51,437 units compared to same period last year.
