April 10, 2014: Tata Motors has silently launched the much awaited facelift version of SUV Aria at Rs 9.95 lakh. The SUV is made available in three trim levels Pure 4X2, Pleasure 4X2 and Pride 4X4. The facelifted version features JBL Harman infotainment system, projector headlamps, Dual AC with climate control to mention few. In terms of safety the car now includes ABS, EBD, six airbags, traction control and reverse camera. The SUV in-houses all new VARICOR 2.2 litre engine with new turbo charger that belts a maximum power of 148bhp and peak torque of 320Nm. The SUV delivers fuel economy of 15.05kmpl (ARAI certified).
The home grown auto major, Tata Motor Group has established itself with a lot of brilliant vehicles in the Indian car market. Among them Tata Aria is their famous multi purpose vehicle, which is available with attractive exteriors along with spacious internal cabin. The company is selling it in three variants, which are Pure LX, Pleasure and Pride for the buyers to choose from. All these trims are incorporated with a 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine, which is powerful and results in a healthy fuel economy. This motor can generate a peak power of 147.94bhp, while yielding a maximum torque output of 320Nm that is good enough for Indian road and traffic conditions. It is mated with a five speed manual transmission gear box, which sends the engine power to its two or four wheels, depending on the variants. The braking and suspension mechanism are quite proficient and it keeps the vehicle well balanced even on the uneven road conditions. Apart from the Pure LX variant, other trims are equipped with anti lock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution, which prevents it from wheel locking and skidding in case sudden braking.
The company has given its a sophisticated internal cabin, which is decorated in two tone color scheme that is further complimented by brushed metallic inserts. It can accommodate seven passengers with ease and provides ample leg space along with head room for all occupants. The VARICOR diesel engine of this model series is skillfully coupled with a five speed manual transmission gearbox. Editor's take : Being about 200kgs lighter than the 4x4 version of the Aria, the fuel efficiency of the Aria is better.

Editor's take : The ride of the Aria is as plush as any other Tata vehicle. The chassis of this vehicle was fine tuned by Lotus, hence it does really handle well. The handling is just like a sedan despite the ground clearance and size of the Aria.

Tata Motors has silently launched the facelift version of its SUV Aria at Rs 9.95 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated Tata Aria now features projector headlamps, 'Aria' body decals, JBL Harman infotainment system, the all-new VARICOR 2.2 litre engine to name a few.
Tata Motors is all-set to launch the facelift version of their flagship MPV Tata Aria, by second half of this month. The company has been doing many test runs of facelift Aria, and is now finally ready to have a go in the Indian car market. Aria was first launched in 2010, and since then this is for the first time it has undergone revamp process. Tata had already showcased the upgraded Aria at 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Apart from this, the company may also come up with another MUV alongwith the launch of refreshed Aria.
