The technical specification of Tata Aria were revealed at Delhi Auto Expo 2010 by Tata Motors. The famous and much loved Tata Safari engine is the one that would power the all new Tata Aria, say company officials. Tata Aria would come loaded with a 2.2L, 2179cc, 4-cylinder DICOR engine. The 2.2L DICOR engine in the Tata Aria offers a maximum power of 140 bhp at 4,000 rpm and develops a peak torque of 320Nm at 1,700 to 2,700 rpm. The engine is similar to that of Safari but its refinement is very obvious to be able to suit Tata Aria better. It is refined with optimized rubber mounts, aluminum cast sump, better acoustic package with a dual mass flywheel which plays the main role to reduce unwanted vibrations and enhances the overall engine performance. Acceleration and overall performance are likely to go up in the new Tata Aria in comparison to Safari.

Tata Aria is being hailed as the most sophisticated Tata ever and thus the exterior appearance is class and suave. The spacious cabin of the Tata Aria is as luxurious as any other premium sedan. The interior is decorated in dual tone beige interiors. The power steering wheel of the vehicle is four spoke. Control are mounted at the multifunctional steering wheel. Advanced instrument cluster which is placed just behind the steering wheel. When we entered in Tata Aria to take a look of it from driver's seat, a high-tech multimedia LCD which is placed in the mid of the dasboard cathes our eyes. This LCD screen indicates that Tata Aria might be loaded with GPS navigation system. Audio system is comprised of 3D sound. Apart from this, infotainment system, dual air conditioning with automatic climate control and cruise control, dimming roof lamps and in-dash built in GPS add to the style and luxury of the vehicle. Seven passenger can be accommodated in the five door crossover. The second and third row seats are foldable fully flat but this is not the case with third row. Tata Aria is a very comfortable MUV. It will be loaded with in three rows seating arrangements which can accommodate 7 passengers. However, the third row has less leg room but it's not a big concern as it is a common problem in MPVs. The second and third row seats can be folded fully flat while aircon for all three rows and the C pillar is there.

Tata Aria can also boast of a nice and large storage compartment is provided right behind the third row. Legroom and headroom is good enough for driver and front passenger.
