May 3, 2011: The open sports-car Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 350 was launched in India today at a grand function organised in New Delhi today. The 3.5 litre V6 engine sports car with 315 hp and a torque of 360Nm is a combination of performance, comfort and fuel efficiency. Besides the 18 inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, the car derives many features from Mercedes SL 300 “Gullwing”. The Direct Steering with Variable Servo Assistance is a standard feature of the Mercedes -Benz SL-Class SL 350 that has speed sensitive steering that ensures better control and also imparts agility to the car. The sports car also comes with “KEYLESS-GO”. The Mercedes SL 250 also comes with a sports package introduced in this segment for the first time. The Mercedes SL 250 has been priced at Rs98.50 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Mercedes-Benz India's MB connect program got quite an overwhelming response , as more than 500 questions were posted through mb-connect and social media sites. Company is also expected to install one complete manufacturing unit in Chakan, Maharashtra.
