The Mercedes Benz C 63 AMG powered by 6.3L naturally aspirated V8 engine is the fastest of all the variants and it catches 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 250kmph. The petrol powered New Mercedes Benz C Class variants accelerate to 100kmph speed in 8.8 seconds and have a top speed of 230 kmph while the diesel trims reach the 100kmph mark in 8.5 seconds and have a top speed of 228 kmph.

The New Mercedes Benz C Class is more dynamic than ever. The new C Class is larger, wider and longer than its last generation. New C Class is available in a variety of paint and finish options. There are three design and equipment lines-Executive, Elegance and Avantgarde. The Avantgarde is more close to the sporty looking C-Class while the Elegance infuses the elegant looks to the New Mercedes Benz C Class. Editor's take : The interior styling of the C-Class is luxurious, however it is the space in the rear seat that didn’t impress us.
Two words best describe the interiors of the New Mercedes Benz C Class - Quality and Sophistication. The class that is outside also translates on the inside giving a feel of a combination of design and luxury that is par excellence. Soft materials, large space invites to step inside. The driver’s seat is raised a bit as compared to other seats for better road visibility. The shoulder and elbow room in the New Mercedes Benz C Class have also been increased for better comfort. Besides the rear legroom has also been increased in the New Mercedes Benz C Class. There is a use of high quality materials inside the new C Class including Nappa leather to the brown ash wood garnishing and use of brushed aluminium. The dashboard has a new grained surface and it houses the full color display at the centre. It has also been made more horizontal and raised as compared to the exiting New Mercedes Benz C Class. The display gives information about navigation, communication and the entertainment at a glance. The steering is four-spoke with controls on it. The steering has been ergonomically designed with controls accessible at a fingertip. There are 12 buttons on the steering wheels controlling the multimedia, cruise speed and various functions of the car.
The New Mercedes Benz C Class Elegance and C 63 AMG Sport models has storage package standard on it. Braking & Handling
Editor's take : The handling characteristics of the C-Class are decent and the ride is also pliant. The suspension set-up is more on the softer side for better ride quality.
Based on the assumption that accidents happen before the actual collision, Mercedes Benz C Class has every idea in place to avert a critical situation before it could actually happen. The Pre Safe system in the new C Class anticipates the accident and takes preventive as well as safety measures before the actual impact. After recently revamping the C-Class, Mercedes-Benz will soon introduce a special edition of its entry-level sedan. The special edition will come equipped the AMG kit, as we had seen on the ML-Class, that just unveiled last month. The facelifted version of the C-Class will get some cosmetic changes on the exterior and the interior. This will include the alloys and maybe a body kit on the outside, while on the inside we can see some AMG touches as well.

Mercedes-Benz India ended 2011 with a strong growth of approximately 30 percent year on year in the backdrop of a looming overall slowdown in the industry. The company sold 7430 units in the period from January-December 2011 (January-December 2010: 5819 units). The growth drivers for Mercedes-Benz India in 2011 have been its segment leading flagship sedans, the new C-Class and the E-Class. With a spur in demand in the SUV segment, Mercedes-Benz SUV portfolio found a strong customer traction, which is reflected in the strong performance of the M-Class and the GL-Class.
