Read Honda Accord Review »Honda Accord Description :
The 2007 Honda Accord represents a very practical and unassuming car. But when equipped with a V6 engine and six-speed manual transmission, the Accord actually becomes fun to drive. Add Honda's excellent navigation system and the car will help you get anywhere you need to go. With its mundane styling, nobody will look twice at the Accord, which could be a good thing if you make full use of the V6 in sixth gear on the freeway. It does have some nice touches, such as the way the angular headlight enclosures blend into the front fenders. Once again, buyers have a choice of inline four or V6 power. The 2.4-liter four makes 160 hp while the 3.0-liter V6 pumps out an impressive 240 hp. A trio of transmissions — a refined five-speed manual (for the four-cylinder models), a new five-speed automatic (standard on the V6 and optional on the four) and a new six-speed manual (available only on the V6 coupe) — sends the power to the front wheels. And with the V6, the car has twin exhaust pipes and a nice little red V6 emblem on the back. While the power train is really a joy to use, handling is pretty average, with lots of understeer. We really like Honda's navigation module, which has a complete database of points-of-interest and excellent voice control. But the six-disc changer won't read MP3 CDs and there is no auxiliary input jack. The safety features list has grown and now includes antilock brakes with discs all around (all models), side airbags (optional on four-cylinder DX and LX, standard on all others) and side curtain airbags (only on the EX V6). The Accord received several key safety updates for the 2008 model year, most notably standard vehicle stability assist (VSA) and active front head restraints for all models. These new safety features contributed to perfect crash test scores for the Accord, earning it a "Top Safety Pick" designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an honor not bestowed upon most of the Accord's competitors. The size of the 2008 Accord has been increased by 4 inches (102 mm) in length and 3 inches (76 mm) in width. As a result, the interior space is also enlarged: an Accord sedan without moonroof has a combined interior space of 120.0 ft³ (3.40 m³), enough to be considered a full-size car by EPA standard. An Accord sedan with moonroof is still considered a mid-size car as it has a combined interior space of 115.0 ft³ (3.25 m³). The Accord coupe is classified as a compact car, as it has a combined interior space of 104.0 ft³ (2.94 m³) without moonroof and 101.6 ft³ (2.88 m³) with moonroof.
Honda Accord Pros :
Powerful engine, More spacious, Stylish looks.
Honda Accord Cons :
Low fuel economy, Lacks various features as compare to other car in its segment.
