Highlights

April 17, 2015: Ford Motor India will be discontinuing the Fiesta Classic , now known as Classic. This attempt will clear the path for the upcoming Figo Aspire that is slated for launch in few months. Mechanically, this series is powered by a 1.4 liter TDCI turbo diesel engine and a punchier 1.6 liter naturally aspirated petrol, both the engines are mated to a five speed manual transmission.

Overview

One of the most affordable sedan model series from the famed fleet of this company is the Ford Classic. This model series is available in three trim levels, which are LXI, CLXI and Titanium. All of these can be chosen from an option of a Duratec petrol or a Duratorq diesel engine, which adds to the benefit of the customers. The company has done a meticulous job in terms braking mechanism, which is quite efficient. This can be said as the front wheels are fitted with ventilated discs, whereas the rear ones are paired with proficient self adjusting drum brakes. On the other hand, the suspension mechanism is also well taken care of as its front axle is affixed with independent McPherson struts that further has offset coil springs equipped to it. On the other hand, the diesel variants are fitted with a 1.4-litre power plant that can displace 1399cc. It can produce 67bhp along with a torque of 160Nm that is rather good for this segment. The sedan segment is immensely populated and has many contenders like Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Chevrolet Sail, Toyota Etios and quite a few others in it. This means that this company in India had to make this sedan so well, that it will be able to lure the car enthusiasts towards it, inspite of the tough competition. The outer appearance of this series is more than good and can be considered to be one of the good looking cars available in the market. It has been designed with great care and that effort can be seen in all its finest details. He body is built to defend all the possible obscurities as well as to make it quite appealing to the on-lookers. The frontage looks quite wide and has a wide radiator grille which is decorated with the company's name over a plate. There are crystal barrel headlamps fitted on the front which have black surrounds to them. Whereas, the top end trim, Titanium is offered with a chrome surround in-order to enhance the image. There are a set of headlamps that have turn indicators too integrated to it. The bumpers are painted in the body color both on the front and rear sides too. The side profile is further decorated with a set of robust steel wheels that are covered with very fashionable pairs of full wheel covers. On the other hand, the top end trims, Titanium has been blessed to have alloy wheels to them for enhancing the overall picture of this sedan. The top end variant gets a combo of ebony and camel finished insides, while all the other trims get a two tone color scheme, which includes jasper blue and ebony. There are well cushioned seats, which are integrated with head restraints. These are covered with fabric upholstery and provide enough leg space and shoulder room for a minimum five passengers. Its rear seat has a 100 percent folding facility, which helps in increasing the boot volume. Apart from the base variant, its remaining variants have a driver seat with height adjustable feature. The illuminated instrument panel houses features like distance to empty display, a digital tachometer, headlamp-on and door ajar warning notification, low fuel warning lamp and an electronic multi-tripmeter. Its two tone dashboard is equipped with a few features like air conditioning vents, a large glove box that can store quite a few things, an instrument panel and a three spoke steering wheel. This sedan has a lot of utility based features like drink holders, front seat back pockets, bottle holder in front doors, front and rear map lamps. It also has a 430 litre boot compartment, which can be extended further owing to its split folding rear seat. Apart from these, it also has electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors that can be adjusted from inside, all four power windows with a driver side auto down function, electric boot release function and so on. Whereas, the top end variant is also incorporated with an intelligent rear defogger, a rear center arm rest, adjustable rear head restraints, drive away locks and many other such aspects.

Interior Comfort:

There are many factors that are incorporated into the cabin of this model, which offer great comfort to all the occupants. Starting with the regulation of the cabin temperature, there is an air conditioning unit, which has an electric re-circulation function to it. Furthermore, there is a heater facility too available within this unit. All the variants are equipped with power steering feature which additionally has tilt adjustable steering. This offers great relief to the driver in alleviating the driver's effort. This sedan is blessed with power windows to all its doors which is a great comfort factor. The electric boot release is an add on convenience to the driver. The rear wind screen is integrated with an intelligent defogger. There is an armrest which is fitted to the rear seats that is of great comfort. The middle and top end variants are offered with headrests fitted to the rear seats which can be adjusted with preference. The high end variant, Titanium is offered with an electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors. The drive away locks are an add on to this sedan trim. With many such features, this sedan series are a synonym for comfort and convenience.

Interior Measurements:

    Look and Style: Very good look unless somebody is looking for a new class design. Otherwise it is elegant. Comfort: 100% comfortable especially on the long drives.
