Chevrolet Aveo Description :

The design and styling of the Indian Chevrolet Aveo is based on the Daewoo Kalos. The most impressive thing about current GM cars seem to be the profile, like the Optra, the Vectra and so on; the Aveo is no exception, the profile is amongst the most pleasing I have come across thanks to the sloping roof and a well integrated C pillar. The Air conditioning on this car is top notch and one thing is especially noticed was the noise insulation; it almost cuts out the rest of the world as soon as you push all those windows up. The mirrors fold both ways, could come in handy if you are bit poor at reversing. Internal electric adjust is available in the top end model; but electric retract still isn't.

The VGIS system which stands for Variable Geometry Intake System makes clever variations to the intake manifold length and geometry to make sure that the engine has optimum intake and exhaust back-pressure, this makes the Aveo torquey, very torquey. The gearbox we found was of slightly long throw, but the gear ratios have been designed to give ease of drivability both during city runs and on the highway. The major flaw of this gearbox though is in the way it shifts, sometimes the changes are rather notchy, something GM could really work on to make this car that much more desirable.

Chevrolet Aveo is available with two different capacity engine options that delivers different level of engine performance and mileage. Chevrolet Aveo is available with a 1.4L and a 1.6L petrol engine – its 1.4L, 1399cc 16 valve, 4-Cylinder In-line petrol engine, with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system which enhances the fuel efficiency of this car so that it delivers mileage 10.2kmpl in city while on highway it delivers 14.9kmpl. On the other hand its more powerful engine a 1.6L, 1598cc, 16 Valve, 4-Cylinder, In-line petrol engine with MPFI fuel injection system delivers more power but bit lower fuel efficiency. This variant of Chevrolet Aveo delivers mileage 9.8kmpl in urban traffic while on highway it gives mileage 14.4kmpl.

First one is the 1.4L, 1399cc 16 valve, 4-Cylinder In-line petrol engine, with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system that delivers enough power for this segment car. This engine produces 94PS of maximum power at 6200rpm with 128Nm of maximum torque at 3500rpm. Second engine option for Chevrolet Aveo is a 1.6L, 1598cc, 16 Valve, 4-Cylinder, In-line petrol engine with MPFI fuel injection system. This engine is more powerful than the previous one and it delivers 102PS of maximum power at 5800rpm with 149Nm of maximum torque at 4000rpm.

First one is the 1.4L, 1399cc 16 valve, 4-Cylinder In-line petrol engine, with MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) fuel injection system and with five speed manual transmission gearbox that produces 94PS of maximum power at 6200rpm with 128Nm of maximum torque at 3500rpm that results good acceleration so that these variants of Chevrolet Aveo can cross the 100kmph mark in 13.42 seconds and it can achieve the top speed mark of 175kmph. Second engine option for Chevrolet Aveo is a 1.6L, 1598cc, 16 Valve, 4-Cylinder, In-line petrol engine with MPFI fuel injection system and with five speed manual transmission gearbox that delivers more power and better engine performance that results excellent acceleration so that it can break the barrier of 100kmph in just 12.43 seconds and it can achieve the top speed mark of 185kmph.
