Adding another variation to its stylish Kwid, Renault launched its Kwid Climber at Rs 4.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the automatic or the AMT versions costs Rs 30,000 more over its manual counterpart. Christened as the Renault KWID Climber 1.0 AMT, the hatch is only offered with the powerful 1.0-litre engine.

Based on the regular RXT (O) variant, the Kwid Climber features new front bumper overriders and faux skid plates, outside rear-view mirrors and roof rails - all with orange highlights. That's not all, the orange shade can be seen on side indicators above the front fenders as well. Moreover, the Climber decals are imprinted on front doors and rear windshield. Riding on a new set of wheels, the Kwid Climber AMT gets protective door cladding all around. It is available with three new colour options - Electric Blue, Outback Bronze and Planet Grey.

The interior too features a lot of orange bits at most places like the 'Orange Energy' upholstery with 'Climber' embossed on the headrests, door appliques, steering wheel with orange perforations and engraved 'Climber' insignia.

With the addition of the Easy-R AMT, the Kwid Climber definitely adds more convenience with hassle free driving in jam-packed city traffic.

Besides like its RXT (O) trim, it gets tinted glazing, multi-spoke wheel cover, integrated roof spoiler, front fog lamps, front seats: premium contoured seats, dual-tone dashboard, central air vents: adjustable & closable with orange knobs, lower and upper glove box, rear parcel tray, cabin lighting with timer & fade out, front seats: recline & longitudinal adjust, assist grips: rear passengers, fuel lid and tailgate inner release from driver side.

Furthermore, it gets Bluetooth audio streaming & handsfree telephony, touchscreen mediaNAV with USB and AUX-in ports. In terms of safety, the Kwid Climber AMT gets front & rear seat belts, driver airbag and remote keyless entry with central locking.

It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 AGS and Tata Nano XMA.
