BYD, or Build Your Dreams, has entered the passenger EV market with the Atto 3, a brand-new electric SUV. The newest electric SUV travels the SKD path to India with its brother, the E6 MPV, and adds a host of contemporary amenities, level 2 ADAS technology, and a powerful electric drivetrain.

I like the exterior features of Byd Atto 3, and to my surprise, it has some new and bold features which give it more of a premium update and style. I like the excellent fit and finish in the interior, and space wise it gives good length to every seater. Though I believe the price range is still on the higher side when compared with the range.

The price range is around 33 lacs ex-showroom, and it has a 60.48kWh battery which gives it a good range of 521kms as claimed by the company. It is good but still, I would not invest in it because there is the headache of charging it again. And due to poor infrastructure regarding charging stations, I think Atto has a long way to go.
