Toyota recently introduced CNG variants for the Hyryder compact SUV, and the Maruti-badged version is likely to follow suit.

It will use the 1.5-litre, mild-hybrid petrol engine with the five-speed manual for the CNG variants, same as the XL6 and Ertiga.

Based on the figures shared by Toyota, the Maruti Grand Vitara is also expected to deliver 26.1km/kg.

The Grand Vitara’s Delta and Zeta are the expected trims to be equipped with the CNG powertrain.

These CNG variants will offer features like a nine-inch touchscreen, automatic AC, LED DRLs and taillights, and six airbags.

Its only direct rival will be the Toyota Hyryder CNG.
