Volvo XC30, entry level SUV to be launched soon

Looking at the tremendous success of small entry level SUV, BMW X1 from German manufacturer, BMW, many other luxury car manufacturer are looking forward to bring such model in this innovative niche formed by BMW. Considering the BMW's major success with BMW X1, the Swedish luxury car manufacturer is also heard to be working towards an entry level small size SUV, Volvo XC30 for the Indian portfolio. The upcoming launches in this segment are expected to be from Audi and Mercedes. Audi is heard to be working on its Audi Q3 for ever growing Indian Auto market whereas Mercedes planning a junior SUV dubbed GLC.
At present Volvo India portfolio holds Volvo XC90 and Volvo XC60, the newly introduced SUV and now speculations say that the Swedish car maker will bang the Indian roads with its small sized entry level SUV, expected to be Volvo XC30. The expected launch of Volvo XC30 is expected not before 2013 but, yet Toyota Fortuner ruled segment is about to heat up in coming time and Indian customers planning for an SUV might have better options to invest their Rs 25 lakh and above.
Entry level SUV segment has a large scope in Indian Auto market which is evident from the remarkable success of BMW X1. The model was talk of town even before its launch and the official launch triggered large number of pre-orders.
The Swedish luxury car maker if enters the segment, it will be a straight competition to BMW X1 and will surely have great opportunity to grab a big piece of pie. Recently the company was busy with it SUV Volvo XC60 which was unfolded in Hyderabad. The beautiful luxury SUV was initially launched in Lavanza, Maharashtra and now its available in Hyderabad. The company is known to manufacture the most comfortable and picturesque models with stand out safety features. The fact was visible in its Volvo XC60 as well. And now when the company plans Volvo XC30 for Indian Auto market, we expect best in class features with sophisticated technology.
