Porsche recalls Panamera worldwide

Germany based sports car manufacturer, Porsche on Tuesday recalled all of its 11,324 Panamera cars, due to possible seat-belt problems. According to a company spokesman, the decision of the recall has been taken due to seat-belt mounts on the Panamera, launched in September 2009, could fail when the front seats are adjusted in an extreme forward position.

The spokesman further added that no accident has been happen so far and it is just a precautionary step.

As per Mr Ashish Chordia, CEO of Precision Cars India Pvt Ltd and an official Porsche importer for India, the recall on the Panamera is a global one and even though they have not had any complaints from their customers in India, as the official Porsche importer for India, the company will carry out the same on all cars it have delivered.

The Panamera is the latest model from Porsche in its India and the company already has Porsche Boxster, the Porsche Cayman, Porsche 911 and the Porsche Cayenne in this India Portfolio. In Germany, the Penamera model is available in the price range of 75,899 euros ($101,370) to 135,154 euros for the Turbo, was launched as Porsche's newest model range.
