Details Seen In The Teaser
As it’s a teaser, the video only gives a fleeting look at the facelifted SUV’s fascia. We can make out the revised and vertically stacked split LED headlight setup, sleeker grille and indicators, and a new LED DRL strip running the width of the bonnet. All these updates are in line with the changes made to the new Tata Nexon and Tata Nexon EV.
While its profile and rear wasn’t shown in the teaser, previous test mule sightings confirm that the facelifted Harrier will get redesigned alloy wheels, dynamic turn indicators, and connected LED taillights.
Will Get A Ton Of Cabin Updates
Tata hasn’t yet given us a glimpse of the new Harrier’s cabin, but we expect it to revamp the cabin of the Harrier. Possible tweaks could be a redesigned dashboard and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with the backlit Tata logo as seen on the new Nexon EV.
New features on offer are likely to be a bigger touchscreen system, a fully digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, auto climate control, and cruise control.
Passenger safety is likely to be taken care of by six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

To Get A Petrol Powertrain As Well
The Tata Harrier facelift is believed to come with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (170PS/280Nm). We expect it to be offered with manual and DCT automatic transmissions.
Its existing 2-litre diesel unit (170PS/350Nm) is also likely to continue with the update. And along with that, Tata will also retain the 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
When Will It Be Launched?
We expect the carmaker to roll out the facelifted Harrier in November 2023. It will likely command a nominal premium over the existing model, which is priced from Rs 15.20 lakh to Rs 24.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Tata Harrier facelift will lock horns with the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, and the higher variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
