The Triber earned a 4-star safety rating, over the 3-star rated Kia Carens in the older GNCAP tests.

In terms of adult front occupant safety, the Triber scored 11.62 out of 17 points, while the Carens only managed 9.30 points.

Renault Triber's footwell area was rated as stable, but was not in the Kia Carens.

Carens scored better for child occupant safety, 30.99 points out of 49. The Triber, on the other hand, scored 27 points.

As standard, the Renault Triber comes with dual front airbags while the Kia Carens is equipped with six airbags.

Carens and Triber both demonstrated an unstable body shell that cannot tolerate further loadings.
