This rule, issued by the Mumbai traffic police, is for both front and rear seat passengers.

Mumbai traffic police will take 10 days to spread awareness about this rule change.

From November 11, a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on passengers not wearing seat belts.

Cars that do not have rear seat belts will need to be installed with them.
