The nameplate ‘Armada’ was first introduced in the early 1990s.

It was a hardtop utilitarian vehicle based on the original Jeep.

The new SUV will get its own identity in Mahindra’s lineup with the ‘Armada’ nameplate.

It will share the stiffer underpinnings with the Scorpio N.

The extended Thar will also get a 4X4 drivetrain system.
