When the Baleno was launched in 1999 in India as a sedan, it's sales were significantly lower than both the Maruti Esteem and the Hyundai Accent. Therefore it was withdrawn from the Indian market in 2007. Maruti, however, decided to dust off the Baleno label and re-launch it as a hatchback in 2015. It was an immediate hit, clocking a much higher than expected sales and a huge order backlog, which encouraged further production. Since it's a Premium car, it is sold through the upmarket
Exterior: Bought premium silver alpha petol on 1st Nov. without any booking... wow...its similar to costly cars like audi n bmw etc.. new color.. DRL'S, projector headlamps, stunning looks...best in segment Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): best space in category. in i20 we felt claustrophobic (poor design). premium seats, 7 inch nav system, all stylish features..best in segment..no cost cutting like they did in JAZZ Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: as its 100 kg less..
Dear All readers, MS Baleno is the best Premium Hatchback available as compared within segment. The following are the some major points I liked - 1 - Safety First - Baleno has got 2 airbags and ABS with EBD standard in all model. Even if the weight of the car is less (Only 865 Kg), the Metal used is of high strength and durability. So, safety wise car is very safe. As for Indian roads, safety is must. 2 - Looks - Mind blowing, Fabulous, Absolutely Beautiful, Categorically Stunning, Regally H
Have bought Baleno Alpha Diesel in April,16 and crossed the odometer reading of 17500KMs recently. Exterior Like in every reviews, the looks are great and styling is awesome. Day time running LEDs, Xenon Projector headlamps and LED tail lamps which are available only on top end adds premium effect. The liquid flow design style makes Baleno stands out from other competitor products. The only improvement require is the sheet metal used. It is very thin and a small scratch or dash keeps deep im
I was tinkering with the idea of changing my car since usually I used to keep a car for a maximum of 5 years and since I wanted a reliable and low on cost on spares car, I decided to stick to the Maruti stable of cars. My first car was Wagaon R and now I have both the Ritz VXI and the Maruthi Baleno, which I'm really proud of. Worth every penny spent. ( in the meanwhile I went to the Hyundai stable and was impressed with their cars too. The fit and finish are just fabulous) But I decided to
First of all I would like to summarise the Car in a single word and then I will explain the features... It's "Excellent".. Maruti Suzuki Engineers have done a phenomenal job in every part of the car. Exterior: In my view, this is the most good looking car of Maruti Suzuki. The front side V- shape grill is the trade mark design of Baleno. The Day Time Running light (DRL) with the projector head lamp which comes only in the top end variant that is Alpha variant makes the Car more styli
It is the best in its segment. at the range of 9 lakh to get features of a premium class is amazing. like the 7 inch touchscreen navigation system abs,ebd in all its segment the most wonderful part of all keyless start the 2nd best in the boot space in its segment leathered steering wheel cover the best in the matter of space that is the legroom and the head room all this facilities.... fantastic in the matter of looks i think this car stands ahead of all the other cars in its segment wi
Hi all! Its been a month since i purchased my Baleno 1.2 L Petrol Alpha segment. It is really a best choice that i have selected this car. I was exploring OEM's across all segments for a buying a car for my family. I started with Toyota since it has a boastful engine quality with minimum maintenance. My Bro-n-law was boasting about the Innova he had for the last 10 years. So started with that, looking after Etios & Cross but found the design not that attractive, hence dropped Toyota. Th
The car itself is awesome with well-weighted steering and a nice set of those projector headlamps and DRLS that looks really good but in smaller variants, it looks same as the swift . Good fuel efficient engine and power to weight ratio are also decent enough it is drivable in almost all of its rev band thanks to new lightweight chassis which is approx 900kg that really gives this car great drivability . Also, the Baleno has a really good air conditioning unit along with the uv cut glasses which
I like to drive the petrol Baleno MT as it is responsive and punchy. The exterior look of the hatch is excellent. Interior design is pretty good. But I like the exterior more than the interior. I won a Honda Jazz and a Maruti Baleno, so I would compare both the premium hatchbacks. While the Honda Jazz is a petrol CVT that I own the Maruti Baleno is a petrol MT. Baleno is a feature rich hatch with so many handy stuff in and around it. Automatic light, daytime running lights, auto dim rear view m
Baleno is a well-priced, smart looking hatchback. It has a user-friendly cabin with loads of space!. The car can easily seat 5 tall adults and has an accommodating 339-litre boot. It is offered in a peppy petrol, efficient diesel & a smooth automatic - take your pick. Baleno has a comfortable ride quality but neutral handling ability. Dual Airbags & ABS with EBD are standards across all variants so safety is well covered. Maruti's excellent after-sales service & fuss-free ownersh
This is my first car- the Baleno. I am very happy with the car. It looks really very stylish with those DRLs and projector headlamps. It is a true head turner on road, whenever I take out my Baleno, many people look at my car. Talking about its interior, it is really very spacious far more than i20 or Polo (which was considered buying) only the Jazz has slightly more space in its competition. It also have an Apple Car play which works very well. Rear camera is very accurate and helps a lot whi
Look and Style Very elegant, rich and suave looks. Comfort: Spacious inside, especially the rear seats. The widest Hatchback in its class, 16-inch tyres would give you max ride comfort. Pickup: with Torque of 115 ps and Kerb weight being at 890kgs, the car has the best initial pick and it is fun to drive Mileage: ARAI certified mileage is the best in class. Best Features: Feature packed car except Sunroof and cruise control options. Needs to improve: Everything is perfect, nothing to work o
The Baleno is a smart looking hatchback. I call it a beast because of its muscular curvy look without sharp lines. The front-end of the along with v-shaped grill is very appealing. The projector headlamps with radiator grille's chrome continuing into them make them very attractive along with bright DRL's. Slanted windscreen with bulging out LED tail-lamp cluster and uniquely shaped chrome strip makes the rear of the car very pretty. The interior of the car is spacious, flexible & v
I got my Maruti Baleno Alpha 1.2 in Pearl Arctic White shade delivered on 5th of February 2016. The decision was made after a lot of research and with help from Car Dekho mobile app. As they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. To me, the Baleno is one of the best designs from Suzuki designers in recent times. It would have been great if Maruti could have given us better-designed alloys or at least the ones available on the European-spec one. The interior is quite spacious and it wa
I got the delivery of Maruti Suzuki Baleno 1.2 Alpha on 1st April 2016. Since then I am driving this car and I think at this price, the features offered in this car is quite reasonable and very price effective. Regarding the comfort, I found it very easy and fun riding during the long drive as well as in busy towns, especially when you are driving in the small lanes of old Kolkata. Pickup is very good and power through is also very good. No doubt the fluidic design of the car is not comparable w
