Alto, the household name for a lot of Indians, well in India that is! A car that if not owned by you or your dad or your cousin, there's someone in the family definitely having one right now! It is the car of choice for many of us for our FIRST CAR to get a hang of driving or in the local language, 'haat saaf carna'. My 2010, 796cc Alto is a nice, cute 'Fire Brick' red one and as you have guessed by now, it is also my first car as well! Design and style The 2010 Alto, from my
Hey Guys, I am not a professional Car Expert. But yes after a driving of over 5500 kms I am writing my experience with my own Alto 800 LXI Petrol car. To start with, for a new car driver and to ride in a City this car is good. However, 1) Don't leave the car in open in summers as the car will heat up like a furnace. 2) Company did not provided left side rear view mirror. 3) When you switch on the AC the car pick up drops drastically and even the co-rider will feel this sudden drop in th
Pros - 1. Maruti Alto is within the budget one of the best cars in its segment. 2. With record sales and maximum service centres, one can easily find spare parts and service stations and all car mechanics are adept at solving the solution. 3. Spare parts are quite cheap and genuine compared to other cars. There is hardly a chance of black marketing of spares. 4. With space interiors, it can accommodate 4-5 passengers making it almost an ideal entry segment car on Indian roads. 5. It definit
Look and Style: Good look. Not muscular. The looks are good hence, the Alto K10 is given a makeover to look like Alto 800. Comfort: I am 5'11" and I can sit comfortably in the car, there is enough leg room. On high speeds, above 120kmph, the car may wobble and may sway when a bus or lorry passes by it at high speed. This car is not made for high speeds... Pickup: Good for this segment. With 796cc, pickup is worthy, cannot be compared to 1000cc cars. Mileage: It strictly depends on the ro
If you are looking for a less expensive and fuel efficient four wheeler then just go for the all new Maruti Alto 800. I have bought this vehicle recently and I was just amazed at its fuel efficiency. Moreover, it is the less expensive and good performing vehicle you can get at a low price of under Rs. 3.0 lakh. I thought of going for another vehicle but Maruti Suzuki surprised me with this new vehicle, which grabbed my attention as soon as it was launched. Look at the mileage of 30Kmpl, which is
Maruti has always sending game changers into the Indian automobile market . Right from the first generation Maruti 800 it has really played the profit game very well the 800 was a blockbuster given that its huge popularity and fanebase it has been an AllSTAR in every sense , but as we say the old has to make way for the new and it had to retire from the market after many glorious years of victory . And maruti has to fill up this huge blank once again to give general public a people's car onc

In mid June 2015 I was looking for car which will help me commute a distance of nearly 80 km everyday (40 km one way). Tough the distance appears to be long for daily commuting it is pleasurable thanks to East Coast Road (ECR) along 20 kms strech each way. Since the distance to travel each day is fairly long, mileage was the only thing lingering in my mind. Initially I didn't think of engine power; torque etc. Finally, I have decided Maruthi Alto 800 Lxi to be my companion to travel 80 km

It is the car still maintaining its position in its segment since its launch in year 2001. Despite there is competition from Tata Nano, Hyundai Eon, Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi Go.

I have been using Alto 800 for the past 2 years and so far i am happy with its performance and maintenance, some drawbacks are the lack of power and interior space, its a good city car with decent mileage.the color of my car is granite Grey and the built quality is average. the tires are of 12 inches and has good ground clearance. The seats lacks support and comfort.Over all it is a good family car, it is easy to park and good control at high speeds but breaking is little bit poor. The central co
Hello Everybody, I am one of the proud owner of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and its been 3 years now, i would like to share my review about this cute small HB car.
To begin with, the styling of the Alto 800 is commendable. The slim front grille, the large air intake and the petal-shaped headlamps really add to the overall look of the car. There are creases along the flank to make it look sporty and even the tail lamps are sculpted in a fashion that it adds to the exuberance of the car.
A perfect compact small car to commute within the city and best in class in terms of mileage when compared to other thirsty cars in the market and Maruti offers excellent services. It offers great value for money. I have been driving this car since 2013 and it is my real pleasure. I had been shuttling between Bangalore and my hometown which at least 800 km far for quite a number of times in the recent past. Though I feel that it's meant for city rides it can be used for highway rides also
Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is a nice car for a small middle class family it has very comfortable seat, decent space with good fuel consumption ( the 5th gear included which was not in earlier Maruti 800.) it has very nice speakers with nice quality of sound, car design is also very nice Nice pickup for 800cc car suitable for urban road. Secondly, AC compatible. service charges are very low and the major thing it's resale value is just fabulous. This car is very good for city travel as it giv
This is made for the small family and for the middle class people and also for the learners who wish to learn the vehicle for the first time.Exterior is ok. It is not so stylish as Swift or any other hatcback, but a decent looking car. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It has more space than EON, Spark, Nano at competitive prices (Nano is cheaper but its auto rickshaw with 4 wheels). In 3 Lakhs this Maruti 800 offers the best features & comfort. EON & Spark look bigger but once yo
Look and Style - Alto has been a good looking car for many years. Pickup - With only one passenger, air-conditioning off and the right timing of gear change, the pickup is very good. As the engine is just 800cc, therefore pickup takes a hit at times. Mileage - I was getting an average of around 15-18 kmpl. Never tested accurately, though. Best Features - Small size, easy to drive and parking is quite easy. Needs to improve - I was always sad about the air-conditioning, which needs an improve
Look and Style - A Very nice looking car with modern amenities. Comfort : Very comfortable even on highways drive and the company has also worked on safety as well. Pickup - Great pick up even 2nd gear gives you a good pickup, maintenance free car Mileage - Mileage 16Kmpl with AC on. It may bring out the average of 18 without AC on the highways and on smooth roads. Best Features -- Lovely look, safety measures, comfortable and adjustable seats. Needs to improve - Nothing at this price Over
Look and Style: The car has an evergreen look and chassis, built and used for decades on Indian roads, one cannot go wrong with the looks of an Alto in this compact segment. Comfort: The ride quality is decent and at par with road conditions and gives sufficient value for money. Pickup: Considering this fuel efficient 800cc engine, the pickup is responsive and give good acceleration in 20-30 seconds. Mileage: Best in class mileage in this segment due to the overall weight of the car and fuel
