very correct my waiting period 7months

  • sriram |12 Apr,2011 12:56:30 PM

a=still you didnt get your car.... But how could you say that comfort is not good????..... Hello dear, i will gift you my car if you prove that any car at this range is better comfort than this.... Honda City is the only better car than Vento at this segment but Honda City price is higher than Vento.....

    anurag |12 Apr,2011 02:52:11 PM

Sriram.........it seems you are volkswagen employee.you always defend polo, vento etc.

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:21:55 PM

No Dear.. I own VW Polo Petrol 1.2 Trendline.... I have made a full assessment of all cars in the market at the range of 10 lacks before i buy polo. So i believe VW is best among all... What ever i say its not defend.. It is true for my opinion...

    anurag |12 Apr,2011 03:23:30 PM

ok...great. which car should i go for 5-7 lakhs.

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:27:17 PM

Ok.. R u looking for hatchback or Sedan????

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:39:58 PM

There are many Hatch options available at this price tag. Also few entry level sedans available at this cost. Under my assesment & rating, Premium Hatchback: 1) Honda Jazz 2) Polo 3) Skoda Fabia 4) i20 5) Swift 6) Fiat Punto Jazz is the master of hatchback & very costly compared to others... VW Polo is great car as i own it and i bought the car as my above rating. But the cost of maintenance will be high for VW Polo... I am very happy with my car so far.... Skoda Fabia too is good but will fall in this category of high maintenance.. If you look for a stable & low maintenance cars, Swift is evergreen... i20 is good.. For Fiat Punto, You can have a look & test drive it... People someone like Devinder will blame me as i am against FIAT... I dont like FIAT cars bcos it never made a single great car in india yet.. Entry Level Sedans with in 7 Lacks: 1) Swift Dzire 2) TATA MANZA 3) Checrolet Aveo 4) Hyundai Accent I yet to have a test drive at Toyota Etios & Ford Fiesta Classic.. Sure they will be better than the above.... All the best... drive safe... enjoy...

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:42:33 PM

    sorry i forgot Nissan Micra.......

    anurag |12 Apr,2011 04:04:41 PM

What will be the annual maintenance cost for polo. also trendline or highline. what is the major difference. i know i am bothering you too much.

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 05:13:12 PM

Its ok np.. Many people in this site & Cardekho team also have helped me lot for my many queries & doubts.. Annual Maintenance for Polo is expected to be around 6000 rupees. It is to be 1000 rupees more than Maruti swift... The cost of spare parts are expected to be 20% to 40% higher than Maruti.. I yet to do my first service. First service is afer 15K kms or one year which comes earlier... So it is still unknown... The difference between trendline & highline are 1) front windows Power windows for trendline, 4 power windows for highline 2) Body coloured Handle & mirror in comfortline or highline only 3) double horn in comfort & highline 4) security features ABS, Airbags, Brake Assist are available only at Highline 5) height adjustable seats & 60 - 40 split of back seat is at Comfortline & Highline only 6) Keyless Entry & remote power windows control are available only at highline.. y7) Highline has Mp3 player from Kenwood... you can check the differences in cardekho car comparsion... I planned for highline, but finally bought trendline whic costs me 5.10 lacks on road... Highline petrol was 6.70LAcks where as 1.6L Highline petrol was 7.10 Lacks which has vento's engine..

    C.VIJAYAKUMAR |18 Apr,2011 02:36:27 PM

you are abosuletly right mr sriram I had taken vw vento trendline at nov for 9.3L with accesories for another .7L for my bugjet of 10L is the best comfort vechicle in all apects....I am telling this after driving 23,000 km in six months of 19km/l... my expenses are 48,000 for petrol and 9,000 for my first service....It is very less than Honda city petrol that too comfort it is almost equal..

    yahiya zakariya |12 Apr,2011 11:29:38 PM

AMONG HATCHBACKS GO FOR I20.. IT HAS GOT ALL THE TORQUE AND POWER AND ALL THE FEATURES U WILL NEED.. MOST SPACIOUS AND POWERFUL HATCHBAK WHICH HAS MORE FEATURES AND MORE COMFORT THAN ANY OTHER HATCHBAKS IN ITS SEGMENT.. LOW MAINTAINCE AND GOOD RESALE VALUE.. U WILL GET ABOUT 20 ABOVE MILEAGE IN HIGHWAYS AND 18 ABOVE MILEAGE IN CITIES.. TO SAY IN A SINGLE WORD.. BRILLAINT..

    sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:22:08 PM

    Rasisri |13 Apr,2011 10:33:15 AM

It is ok that you like VW. Quality, build, handling are best in class. But the Polo has very cramped rear space and the equipment level in trendline is very poor. I'm not sure I'd like to own one.

    sriram |13 Apr,2011 12:18:56 PM

Hi.. Yes the rear space of polo is smaller than i20. It is 5 inch smaller in width than i20.. Compare them at the same time with i20.... I will not think not to buy a car for 5 inch smaller width than i20.. ofcourse i have all needed equipments and if i want any extra equipments, i can spend 10K to get that features extra from outside car service people... It is just my opinion.. Your taste may differ from mine... thanks...

  • sriram |12 Apr,2011 12:59:03 PM

i agree the waiting period is too long... Can you tell me which luxury car maker delivers the car immediately???......... Only Maruti, Hyundai, TATA can deliver their cars soon because of their well establishment in India.....

  • sriram |12 Apr,2011 03:25:59 PM

Dear All, FYI.... Now My polo is going strong at 3000KMs... My latest review of VW Polo will be on the cards soon in all major autoshow websites.......... Also this weekend, i am planning to have to look & test drive at Toyota Etios & the car which i plan to buy in future BMW X3 :-)..............

    HD |19 Apr,2011 01:57:27 PM

Hi Sriram, your posts are really helpful. If one needs to select a diesel vehicle in Sedans: 1. VW Vento (Trendline, IPL Edition) 2. TATA Manza - Elan Quadrajet 3. Maruti Suzuki SX4 VDI and in Hatchbacks: 1. VW Polo Highline 2. Skoda Fabia (Elegance) 3. Hyundai i20 4. Nissan Micra Which would you suggest & why? Any other vehicle you would suggest apart from the above?

    sriram |28 Apr,2011 07:20:47 PM

Hi HD, For sedan, dont bring TATA Manza in a count of Vento & SX4. Tata Manza is an entry level sedan. Where as SX4 & Vento are middle level comfort sedan... Strongly the rating is first choice, Vento, then SX4. But no choice for TATA MAnza. You can go for Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Optra & the great Honda City which tops the group of this mid level sedan segment..... Honda city is a better car than Vento in all terms but price is little more than vento. For hatch back, I suggest Polo because my decision was towards polo when i bought it. I felt it as a best car among all i had tested. Skoda too is a good option next to Polo. Both of these are high maintenance (20 to 30% more than maruti/hyundai. Swift & i20 are other options. I dont think that nissan micra will get as much success as Polo/swift/i20. Punto & Figo is also an option.... If i am you, then i will buy Polo if hatchback, Honda City / Vento if sedan.......

Hai friends, Thanks for the valuable informations, Mr. Sriram your research is excellent & what ever things mentioned is true. Mr. Anurag if you have a budget of more than 6 Lakhs you can check VW polo 1.6 L Petrol. I know petrol price going high but its only my suggestion. I have own VW polo 1.2L Highline petrol, I am happy with my vehicle & proud to be a part of VW group. All the best to all my friends, takecare, bye

  • jyothish |12 Apr,2011 06:30:34 PM

vento a good car ,very good diseal engine ,comparing to the engine , style ,perfection ,waiting for 6 months is not a problem

  • pradeep |20 Apr,2011 04:54:06 PM

    Hoe about hyundai verna diesel.

    sriram |28 Apr,2011 07:23:35 PM

hyundai verna is very good car and well proven model like swift in hatchback.... New verna is lunched with many alterations in the design & look... But it is below Honda city & Vento....

    Raghav |10 May,2011 01:23:27 PM

Hi All, I am comparing Maruti SX4, VW Vento Diesel Trendline and Ford Fiesta. My liking is obviously VW. However, the requirement parameter for me are - 1] Good Fuel Efficiency, 2] Comfort Features [Such as Window Controls of rear doors], 3] Security [ABS, 2 Airbags]. All those who use SX4 or VW Vento Diesel Trendline, please suggest what to choose and what to compromise. I know that VW has got good comfort and we can get German Engine. However, my overall onroad budget is max 9.25.

  • shailesh |14 May,2011 04:44:48 PM

Whats Gr8? I am waiting for this car since 6 months for Venot Highline Diesel in Bangalore. I was promised delivery in 3 months. Today I am out to see the reviews, becoz I am about to send mail for cancellation to the dealer. Not that waiting period is too muc but atitude of VW dealers. Not sure why all of the VW dealers behave same way. Very irresponsible. They just don't mind even keeping us up to date information on delay in delivery. I am afraid what kind of after sales service these people will deliver. I would rather cencel this order right now and go for some other brand.

  • Suresh |20 May,2011 11:58:43 AM
