Polo - There but not fully

Look and Style : The looks of this car backed up with the VW brand image made me purchase it. The exterior looks are sleek & very impressive. The styling is quite good too. However even the highline version lacks lot of features like electrically operated ORVMs, radio & telephone controls on the steering, boot light Comfort:The seats are comfortable the A/C also does its job well for Mumbai climate. The seats are overall too low as getting into & out of the car is a bit cumberesome. If one lifts the drivers seat the steering wheel tends to foul with the legs. The height is also could have been 3 taller. I wonder whether ths size of the cabin is reduced for the Indian market because back in its birthplacce the average German is of a bigger build & would struggle to get into & out of this car. The stability of car at 3 figure speeds is also impressive.  Pickup: The pickup in the first & second gear is reasonable but in the third gear it lacks the power when it is ferrying 5 people. One feels the loss of accelerating power when the A/C is running. I am not sure if ths is a standard feature of a 3 cylinder engine. However if the back seat is empty the car does well. Mileage: I get a mileage in the city between 11-12 kmpl which in my opinion is on the lower side. Best Features: Best features of this car as easily its looks. The steering control & drive quality is also good overall. Needs to improve: The car needs to improve in the features of auxiliary systems Overall Experience: Although my overall experience is generally good the maintenance cost of this vehcle is a concern when compared to equivalent options available in the market.
