Pros : Good space, cooled glove box

Cons : Noisy cabin, poor plastics, no rear wiper

Look and Style :     Good   Comfort  :      A Climate control AC would have been desirable   Pickup I purchased Toyota Etios Liva GD Safety model last month. Toyota is world's largest car manufacturer. It appears that Toyota has under estimated indian customer and have made many compromises on quality for cost cutting. Sound insulation is very poor and too much noise is audible inside the cabin. Mileage OK Best Features Space inside cabin Needs to improve Cabin Noise  and Overall  body  strength. Music system missing even in top Diesel model. Overall Experience Not up to the mark of TOYOTA Quality. It is a desi Toyota.

Please provide the correct feed back since my decision is relied on genuine customers like you. How many km you have completed? Is the suspension same like petrol cars? Thanks.

I purchased the car relying on TOYOTA brand name and considering Toyota's international brand image. During test drive I felt higher noise but the sales executive said that the noise would get reduced over a period of time. My main considerations which went in favour of buying this car were Toyota Brand, 3yr or 100,000 Km warranty, comfortable inside space, cool glove box etc.

James, I bought Liva GD on Feb'12. but left to canada on work for 2 months. then i driven 5500 km in another 2 months. overall after 4500km i found the noise of engine is very low rather than when it is new. the newer version of liva is bit more thicker in doors and darker interior than before. though the liva come with a crash framework there is no pointe in increasing the thickness of door (may be due to many people's agony they might have increased). for the first service i paid 0 Rs and expecting the second service soon in next 1 or 2 months. i got 26 kmpl for full highways driving with ac and 20 kmpl for full city driving at 1-3 gear with full ac. family feel comfortable due to soft suspension. good breaking, abs, ebs, crash frame make it better than swift for safety. you dont by if you are not satisfied, but if you want a car to fill it and forget it sort of car go for Toyota. But what you feel the difference is the fully manual options inside the cabin. where you will see all the competeters provide more automatic features. But this is not just build for cost but also to keep the cost of parts to minimal with increased life. if any sensor goes up you have to pay 3000 rs for other cars but for Liva the mechanical will not blow and if it goes also you pay 500 rs to solve. happy buying.
