Tata Tigor - Diesel performance is a letdown

I'll be very frank in my opinion, I know Tata Motors have put in a lot of effort in the Tigor but I still feel it isn't the best compact sedan of the lot. I would prefer a Honda Amaze over the Tigor because it looks more complete. Going through the reviews of Tata compact sedan, one thing that I find consistent is the not-so-great Revotorq diesel engine. The performance isn't up to the mark when compared to its petrol counterpart. Since I am a tall guy, I would have wanted a more raised car but the diesel version sits on even smaller wheel size of 14-inches as compared to 15-inches on the petrol Tigor. The interior fit and finish is decent but doesn't quite compare to the Swift Dzire's cabin. The AC in all Tata cars is excellent but they do create a lot of noise inside the cabin and the new Tigor I'm told is no better. The touchscreen system is laggy and can be connected only to an Android phone, which is a downside for me, as I use an Iphone. And the worst part in the Tigor is the opening of the boot; there are no latches on the boot lid, you'll have to come all the way to the front seat and then press the button over there. Moreover, you'll have to keep the ignition on to continue its functioning as the boot is electrically powered (what the hell). I can only consider it, if it comes below Rs 4 lakh, else there are plenty of other compact sedans like the Amaze, DZire and even Tata Zest to choose from.
