Its been a month since i got the delivery of my Tata Tiago Revetron XZ (sunburst orange)and has to say one thing that this time Tata done there home work very well.This car is build on a whole new platfrom and wears an all-new design language(Impact Design).It looks really great as people always enquire about the car when I park it.Higher ground-clearance,more legroom and more headroom in comparison to the cars it is pitched against. From some angle it looks like new ford figo but i think its better than that. The metal quality and Paint quality used is pretty decent for the segment:overall its a solid built quality.The interior also gives you a feeling of a premium hatchback.And still above all this Tiago is priced very aggressively and you dont even see any cost cutting in it. I personally like those smiling front grills, its not sharp and edgy and you get some great character lines around the car. The design of the body and dashboard is simple yet looks very trendy.The black spoiler extensions gives the tiago a sporty touch. The center console looks good with the Piano black inserts & chrome touches.The 14 alloy wheels come with a very unique design.The car comes loaded with a hell lots of feauters like 2 Airbags,ABS,EBD,specially steering adjustment,2 DIN Music System with 6+ Speakers,GPS,Steering mounted control,Fog Lamps,Rear Parking sensors,rear defogger,dual tone interior,segment first features like multi drive option,voice command,turn-by-turn navigation,corner stability control.The Harmon music sytem with 8 speakers provide very good sound quality while being on the move. Tata has used the interior space very cleverly,you get a 242 liter boot space and 22 unique storage spaces inside the cabin.The seats are large enough to give you the comfort you are looking for ,plus the air-con is powerful enough to chill in a hot & humid Mumbai.Misses on things likeleather wrapped steering wheel,leather-wrapped gear knob,one touch window up button for the driver,anti glare mirrors. The 1199cc engine which comes with a multi drive option(eco mode) is peppy enough to use in normal city conditions but will need a bit downshift in slow traffic condition.I have driven it for 230 kms and i am getting identical figures (18kmpl with AC) in regards to the company claimed 23.57 kmpl.But the 3 cyclinder engine is a bit unempressive compared to the Grand i10.Also noticed that the gearshift is very smoooth in Tiago comparitively to other Tata cars. The ride and handling of the car is very good even while taking steep turns and also on triple digit numbers as i noticed on the mumbai - pune expressway.The suspensions are tuned to give you a good comfortable ride. Yes its comfort is good but for city driving not more on highways.And if you want a rapid change of pace than the Tiago doesnt cruise well. The after sales service of tata is not that impressive ,i have not visited the service center yet but still praying for the best. Overall if you see it gives more space,more power,more milage comparitively to other cars available in this price range,its truely a value for money.Prices of the Tiago is been hiked thrice in the last two months and theres also a waiting on it which i think is a good indication for new buyers. Tiago is my first car and i am very much satisfied with my decision , Very Impressive Low Budget Car.
