I was keenly watching the launch of the Tata Nexon and the moment the prices were announced, I was stunned. How can Tata afford to keep them this low? It starts at just Rs 5.85 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Unbelievable pricing, isn't it? Besides the head-turning looks, the Nexon compact SUV is fully loaded with at par features or I would say more features than any other car in its competition, be it the Maruti Vitara Brezza or the Ford EcoSport. The multi-drive modes, which have become a trademark of Tata cars now, 6.5-inch touchscreen ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman, standard dual front airbags and ABS with EBD are some of the key highlights of the Nexon. The interiors from the images feel rich and premium and a leap ahead compared to previous Tata cars. The availability of both the petrol and diesel options also turn things in favour of the Nexon. The Brezza lacks a petrol engine. All in all, I am in love with the newly launched Tata SUV and look forward to taking a test drive soon.
