Pros : Promises good fuel economy as it is fitted with proven and popular Saffire class engine from FIAT.

Cons : Very spacious Car. But again interiors are not at all up to the mark.

Manza is real good car if one checks the space and exterior styling it provides. Looking at the price tag of 4.8-6.8 lakhs it seems that it is going to be a value for money car in Sedan class. It is gonna give tough fight to SX4, Ikon and might be Fiesta also. Though the interiors are not upto the mark still overall looks are good. The only thing that might prevent Metro-City population from buying this car is the size of this car and parking problems. Overall very good car from Tata.

It will give competition to sx4!!!...r u drunk???

  • Yogendra |10 Nov,2009 12:35:53 PM

If you disagree, still you can use good language and etiquettes. And pls.support your argument with data than abusive language. And FYI.. I have formed this opnion after 3 vists to different Tata showrooms. My opinion is echoed by many people in the showroom and one more thing I dnt drink :) :) SX4 has lost the ground due to many reasons. Also Check the sales of SX4. It is dropping.

I agree with you. I too feel the same. In fact I went to buy SX4 but after seeing Manza I changed my opinion. Even Honda City belongs to the same class but for its much hyped publicity and brand image that has changed minds of people thinking it belongs to some speacial class. Special class starts above 12 Lakhs below that all sedans belong to the same class. And to compare Manza is a good value for money.

    pravesh pardeshi |07 Sep,2011 12:20:07 AM

SX4 just rocks on the roads and goes like a swift bird! ... In speeds, Tata cars are fail! but they're good although because they are the real value for moneY!

  • Mohil |10 Nov,2009 02:25:03 PM

sorry dude if u got hurt by ma words but atleast compare cars of same segment...if i say the sale of i10 is much more than honda city dat doesn't mean i10 is bettr than honda city...sx4 has bettr engine...bettr interiors...bettr features...n dere is bout a difference of 2 lakh in the upper MT model of manza and sx4...or u wanna say dat the ppl r fools who r buying cars like sx4 and linea...more over if u need comparison...than u can visit any site like and see the comparison...u will surely get ur answer...sx4 VVT zxi is much bettr than feista and linea in engine and as well as features...

    Venkatesh |26 Nov,2011 06:44:58 PM

My friend, Mohil....SX4,Swift,Manza and linea all use fiat diesel engine...check the technical specs.

  • Yogendra |11 Nov,2009 05:16:41 AM

Definitely SX4 is better than Manza. No doubt. But FIAT has proven technology in terms of engine quality and competes with any body in the class. And one more thing from statistics point of view "Any new introduction in the class will eat up some portion of the pie in the same class or adjunct class". No wonder if that also causes some competition too. India is definitely a "class" sensitive market...but I think it is even more "cost" sensitive. There are many people who wait to purchase something in the mid category that gives dual advantage 1)lower-cost and 2)comfort anf feel of sedan. You may compare entrylevel SX4 with Manza you may find a difference of almost 55k to 60k which might cause a bunch population to sit on the fence. :) :) I think answer to this debate would be the sales figure after 3-4 quarters when actual customer experiences are out in the market. Till that time we can just "speculate" :)

Test drove the SX4 and was impressed with the performance of the car on highway

  • vivin |24 May,2010 02:11:14 PM

Maruti Suzuki SX4 has been received well by the consumer both due to its looks and performance. In India it is doing well in its class. The SX4 driving position is excellent like a mini-SUV with adjustable steering it adds to driving pleasure giving excellent visibility. The car is spacious inside and with aiding ergonomics, it is comfortable while traveling longer distances. A complete package to be a proud owner.

    vicky |27 Mar,2011 04:00:04 PM

boss i am not sure that you drive your car . i think you are having a driver otherwise you shouldn't have praised sx4 for visibilty. i have felt that the front piller always block right side view and due to high boot it is not very easy to park the car as you can't see anything .

  • varinder |03 Jun,2010 01:12:08 AM

SX4 bad average. Maruti claims new vvt tech will give better fuel efficieny but no change at all. Average in mumbai city is just around 9.Interiors r not great and somewhat reminds me of swift. priced high due to maruti Ego attitude.MANZA is better and at lower price. If maruti has priced the car higher it doesn't mean its falls into a different segment. its is same segment(Mid size sedan) as MANZA and MANZA surely gonna eat away the market from S.X

  • Mahim |14 Oct,2010 10:23:00 PM

I Am a proud owner of Manza Saffire Aura, the Avg i am getting is 12 in City and around 17(driving @100) and 15 (driving @120-135) on highway. I am fully satisfied with the performance in city and highway. Maruti 800AC is the best creation from Maruti Stable, and they are selling anything on basis of reputation they get from Maruti 800. i am so sorry if i hurt anybody's feeling..

Dear Car lovers, I purchased Tata Manza in 2009 itself when it just launched. In fact I was thinking to go for Honda City but when I looked and went thru overall features then realised that one should go for Manza only if price is somehow constraint. After more than one year I am very much happy with performance of engine , smooth driving and even exterior n enterior.I haven't any %age of doubt that why did I select Manza. It's a v ery nice Sedan if one compared within /- 2.0 Lac range sedan. All my collegues just love my car n my choice.

    karthikeyan |14 Jun,2011 05:24:54 PM

  • DR V S SAHA |28 Feb,2011 08:38:57 PM

It a good car in C segment produced originally by FIAT but unforunatlly marketed by a horribally bad company especially in after sales sevice. But still a value for money if you go for it as you wont get this Quality of performance and features in such a low price.

  • Anoop |06 Jul,2011 01:48:24 PM

Go for FIAT Linea for better Mileage, comfort and Safety.

  • r.krishnasamy |16 Jul,2011 05:53:39 PM

For buying a new car, I have narrowed down my choices to the following 1.TATA MANZA AURA (ABS ) 2.FORD FIESTA CLASSIC 1.4CLXI.Kindly suggest which one to buy, taking into consideration of mileage, suspension , engine performance, driving and travelling comfort, features, interior & exterior look and prize.
