A very good family car

I bought this car in Oct 10 and has driven 9000KM, I was first driving M800, shifted to Zen for some time, Esteem for 2 years and now Manza diesel. Off course this is my first diesel car. I was really worried to spend 8Lac on a TATA car but after comparing spec. and test drives of Linea, Feasta and Manza, decided to take the risk. Now that I have driven it for 9K, I can write a review. Look and Style:  The car looks very good from the side and front. From back it looks old fashioned. Comfort: I have found that this is the most comfortable car I have ever used. In the beginning, it was little difficult to adjust as you can not see the bonnet (seat height adjustment helps you here) and also the blind spots will surprise you. Esteem was fantastic as there are minimum blind spots. Pickup: I will say, this is a family car and if you expect it to behave like a race car, you will be disappointed. However it has a decent pickup if you really need it (mileage will go down drastically). Mileage: I am getting 16+( with AC) in the city and have got up to 19 ( with AC) on the highway. Interesting thing about this cars milage is that it gives decent milage if you have patience but the mileage drops drastically moment you try to test the pick up/ speedup. The mileage is up to 25kmph at 70 KMPH, starts decreasing after that at 100, you get apx 19-20, 120 apx 17. But the best part is that the car gives very decent mileage at low speeds. Best Features: Very comfortable car to drive and to sit. Engine will not knock even at low speeds and the car maintains a constant speed in any gear if you remove your foot from all the paddles. Very good for people who are in habit of using lot of clutch Needs to improve: I feel, TATA motors should seriously speedup improving there QC department to imorove it's exceptablity/ trust. It is a superb sedan with lots of small issues. Suspension is good but makes noise at times (if you are not used to it), gear shifter, switches, knobs etc. becomes loose. Sound proofing can be made better. Overall Experience: Superb family car. Go for it!
