Good all-rounder family car, but too pricey for the quality

Look and Style When I saw it first time, I was disappointed with the looks, however, over time, I started liking it. Different people have different preferences, but I feel that there are better looking cars than Aria. Aria looks more line MUV from size and too boxy from rear. Comfort There is lots of space in front seats and middle row, excellent even for tall people, third row is good only for children. Overall extremely comfortable.Dont have to climb up into the car, drivers position is excellent. Cabin is quite, ride is smooth, even on rough roads. The car is heavy, but the engine is still good to pull it smoothely and comfortably. There is some body roll, braking cannot be compared with premium sedans. The car is long and wide, however, driving is still pleasure, and doesnt feel unsafe. Best Features Overall build quality is very good. If Tata can reach this levels, I am sure it can stretch a bit to beat the Europeans. Smooth operating switches and controls, and feel reliable, with excellent finish, durable. Even the overhead storage has operate softly, no noise. Soft feel interiors to reduce NVH and not hurt small kids. Minimum gaps and crevices, easy to keep the interiors clean and not hurt kids or loose things. Needs to improve Finishing on metal could have been better. Can still see ugly welding joints on door frames (definitely the body parts are not hydroformed, frame could be as claimed). The doors do not close consistently with the familier 'thud' with the same force, and need more than usual. The internal rear-view mirror vibrates too much, the chilled compartment is too small to accomodate large cold dring bottle. Chilled compartment should have been positioned below the glovebox, to avoid leaking liquids / condensed vapor spoil contents in glovebox. The engine compartment is too crowded, doesnt look very organized. I did not like the steering wheel at all. It is not comfortable to hold with the extra-convex shape, the steering mounted controls get accidentally pressed all the time. Pricing and positioning could be better, the car is about 2 lakhs more expensive than it should be for it's quality. At this price, it cannot pull customers from segments of popular SUVs, MUVs, and Mid-sixed premium sedans to create it's own segment. People from higher societies, spending 15-17 lakhs may settle down with foreign brands at either slightly lower price point or higher, for their image, as their engines are far more reliable with longer service intervals, bodies are better built, fit and finish is better than Aria, feel more safe when driving, and ofcourse, the more pleasure of owning one.
