Excellent Car with Poor choice of Apollo Tyres .

I bought my L&K Superb in Oct 2017 and the Front Tyre ( Apollo) cracked from side within 900 kms of running and that i the late night in DND when I was returning home. When I connected with Arya Skoda, the dealer through whom I purchased the car, They sent me to an Apollo dealer in Noida who refused to change the Tyre under warranty saying that I must have banged the car tyre to a pole or some such object. I only know that nothing of that sort happened. After getting dejected I went to a Tyre dealer in Noida and was shocked to learn there that he has received similar complaint from at least 2-3 Superb owners of new models fitted with Appolo Tyres. In fact he showed me Apollo new Tyres received by him with cracked walls, whihc was exactly like the one that I experienced in my car Tyre. I did not want to take any chance and changed all 4 of the Tyres to CEAT, where there is one year unconditional warranty and and 3 year warranty for manufacturing defect. I Appeal Skoda to take this complaint seriously and stop using Apollo as original equipment in their high end models at least. ------Kamal Pande
