Taking on cruze,skoda although does not match in pace with cruze,but the way she drives..through the corners and the ride comfort is amazing..cruze with 33kgms of torque on wheels does not possess traction control..but laura braking from even 160kmph is a kool stop.secondly the space she offers both front and rear is excellent and luxurious for family of 5.but in cruze inside is totally cramped..especially the rear seats height is reduced for its coupe designing.the seating inside is not worthy a15lk car.the build quality is of high quality in laura . whereas  in cruze you can feel the rattles in pothholes..mileage is equally poised for both avg 13-14 kms/l. top speed acheived by me in laura is 185kmph....i still believe she can race under the shades of 200 if the foots are rite on the pedals...i heard that cruze can cruise till 210-215kmphs..overall you can really be a proud owner of a laura for its brand value..service and maintainance is bit hot time for laura whereas gm offers cheap maintanance and better service .....resale is obviously good for laura comparing cruze............................there is no comparison with jetta since they both are the same except for their looks and badge name...altis is out of picture with 1.4 ltr which can be easily overtaken even by a 8lk car...
