Mercedes is making a comeback,and how! After being pummelled into submission by BMW all through last year,Mercedes is slowly but surely clawing into the luxury car market in India,and the CGI range of cars are just another addition into their already formidable range of care ready to take on the beemers and the audis in India. The C-Class has changed,from the exterior,over the years.Its now sportier looking,sharp,muscular and has a very distinctive look with the changed front lights and rear ones as well.But then,its still not in the same league as the looks of the beemer 3 series or the audi a4. Coming to the interior of the car,the first impression was that its very cramped compared to the b3 or the a4. The front seats are comfortable,in fact they have the legendary mercedes comfort,but the more comfortable you try and make the front seats,the more cramped the back seat gets.And considering that the back seats are already cramped,this is a major blunder on the part of Mercedes. Apart from that,this car feels far more loaded and far more plush than the b3,and almost in the same league of the a4,which ,by the way,steals the show with its creature comforts. But the mc does not lag behind too much. The finish and fit is impeccable,and materials are rich. The drive of the cgi is absolutely smooth,butter smooth in fact,the acceleration is very good,and though I did not time the 0-100 dash,I bet its pretty pretty quick. The 184 hp do work wonders,and the car is very good at the straight dash,as well as around corners. Overall,I really really like this car compared to the b3,which compromises on a lot of creature comforts and especially the ride,and the mc does handle pretty well. All in all,a very good experience for me.
