Look and style- good looking

Comfort- it is good for your family, gives family good comforts.

Pickup- less when you are in CNG with AC than petrol with AC (on straight roads it is nice but on the hilly road it is frustrating).

Mileage- I purchased this CNG Wagon R car two months back and its good economical car. With CNG, the only problem is there is only 12 CNG pump in Bombay for this new version of CNG car. At the time of purchasing the dealer told me within 2 months this kind of CNG pump will increase but yet now there is no addition of any petrol pump. And the only drawback is actually only 10 kg of CNG is filled in the tank which gives you approximately 160km of range. If you travel 80km per day, you have to visit the pump, every other day.

Best features- economical for the city use (where CNG centre are available).

Needs to improve- CNG stations (please add more CNG pumps in Mumbai) and if possible, the filling capacity.

Overall experience- a good economical car with CNG  and must go for this CNG Wagon R if  you are going to sacrifice speed for value.

hi i was planning to buy wagon r lxi cng model.I just need help as many of my friends and peoples i know advised me that dont go for cng version as cng affect engine and overall performance of the car. As i am from a middle class background i am comparing both wagon r with petrol ang cng version. Is sacrificing performance of car for economical reason(as cng is cheapest)is worth or not? Please do help me guys.

Well the CNG Wagon R comes with a factory fitted CNG Kit that is of highest quality and complies to all safety norms, yes there is a bit of power loss when running the car in the CNG mode but then you save a lot of money also by doing so. If your daily useage is not more than 80-100kms then we advise you to stick to the Petrol Wagon R . Thanks, CarDekho Team

Hi I am planning to buy Wagon R CNG for my kids school pickup & drop in Kolkata, first I would like to know how many CNG filling center available in South Kolkata and is there any chance of CNG filling crisis, second how safe is using CNG car for kids, I can compromise with speed. Thanks & Regards.

Cars with factory fitted CNG kits are one of the safest as the kits are tailor made for the specific model and also comply to the highest safety standards. The Wagon R CNG is one of the most economical small car to run. About the CNG filling stations you need to check locally but we are sure that there would be atleast 4-6 CNG filling stations in Kolkata. Best of luck with your purchase. Thanks, CarDekho Team

Can LPG kit be fitted in new WagonR VXi model? I was already having 2009 Model WagonR Duo Lxi and had driven the same for 21000Kms. I found that car good but few problems with LPG kit. Now that I have almost made up my mind for new WagonR Vxi but keeping in view the economy I want to have an LPG kit in the new car. I have talked to Maruti people and they said that it can be fitted later on in thier authorized workshops. Does the K-Series engine has any problem with LPG kit. What are its impacts on the performance and engine life?

Hi i'm planning to buy wagaon r 1.0 CNG..i normally drives at 80-90 Km/hr and i believe that CNG will not give any problem on this speed..also can you tell me actual mileage of CNG car in city & highway with AC..i'm living in Ahmedabad and as the prices of petrol is rising does it makes sense to buy CNG car even if my usage is about 800 Km/month

can someone reply to my query..???? i am so confused my budget is 4.5 lacs and i want a low maintenance car, fuel economy should also be good approx 18-20 on highways. In hatchback segment, i have shortlisted few cars like A star, Wagon R, Hyundai Eon and I10.. but not able to take a decision which would be good one for me???

    Ritesh Madhok |05 Mar,2012 07:18:46 AM

The Hyundai Eon is currently the best option for you followed by the Maruti Alto. Our choice is the Ein.
