The budget was the main issue for choosing Swift over the Desire/Ertiga or the Baleno. We found that the Swift was perfectly priced hatchback with an even perfect performance. The swift engine is awesome, powerful but quiet, spacious inside both for the drivers/passenger and back seat passengers having quite a comfortable leg room. Having said all of the above, the only regret was and is luggage space. Mileage is okay in the CITY, in fact, I feel it drinks more fuel while in traffic than the Wagon R, but on the Highways mileage is awesome. Performance wise there is never an issue, except, I feel Maruti needs to improve on it cabin/joints noise, Shock absorbers, and dashboard quality. The Hyundai, in fact, has much less cabin noise and wheel noise and superior Shocks. But Swift is a car worth investing.
