I owned a swift vdi recently , the car has perfect look, good interiors, read the review as below. Exterior: Swift VDI follows classic hatchback exterior and has created milestone for any hatchback car design. Exterior built quality of steel and fiber is very poor and paint quality can be better with a doubble coat. This is one specific area where Maruti needs to concentrate as every review will have same observations in fact 100/100. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Interior looks gorgeous and front seats are so comfortable that you can travel few hundred kilometers without getting tired. Interior is quite better as compared to its exterior but the plastic quality can be improved and can have more catchy appearance. Front space is very good and sitting is very comfortable and sporty but rear seats are clumsy and having less space for leg room. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox MPFI performance is awesome. Good acceleration and mileage with very less maintenance. This is one area in swift where hardly anyone will complain as the pickup, response and handling of car is very good and very sporty as compared to any other cars in 1.2 liter segment. Swift can even plan for uplift version of petrol engines with more than 90hp as it is sporty segment. No complaint even after driving 16000+ KM in one year in all conditions. Ride Quality & Handling: Handling is good but could have been improvised by adding ABS in it. Final Words: If you want car and are family of four members and want good mileage car for city and highway ride and don't want high maintenance, Go for SWIFT without thinking much. SWIFT carries legacy for past 10 years. Areas of improvement: Can improvise on adding prime safety features like ABS and SRS air bag. Car inner space is not designed properly as if you are family of five members and want to go for longer ride say few hundred kilometers then it will not be comfortable for rear passengers. Though TOYOTA Etios liva is same segment car it has good space provides good comfort for rear seat passengers.
