Maruti Swift is one of the best cars that I have ever ridden where I could feel the swiftness in it. It is the country's top-selling car which is well known for its fuel efficiency and well driveability. It is offered in three levels in both petrol and diesel fuel options. Maruti Swift LXI is the entry level petrol variant in its model series. This variant has a 1.2-litre engine that is capable of developing 85 bhp of top power and 114 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted through the front wheels and it has five-speed manual transmission gearbox. This vehicle in return provides one of the best fuel economies with a mileage of 15.2 kmpl in city and 18.6 kmpl in highways. As this model is an entry level variant, there are no high features in this car. This variant is equipped with elements like body coloured bumpers, tubeless tyres, tinted windshield glass, manually adjustable rear view mirrors, steel wheels with centre caps, headlight height adjuster, clear lens head and tail lamps. This model lacks on safety and comfort features. From the point of view of safety, it lacks airbags for the driver and co-passenger, anti-lock braking system (ABS), with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and brake assist, electronic stability program (ESP), traction control system and central locking. However, I should appreciate its sports power door locks, engine immobiliser, halogen headlamps, rear seat belts, seat belt and door ajar warning, side impact beams and others. Inside the car, this variant has a manual air conditioner with heater, power steering with tilt adjusting function, ash tray, cigarette lighter, vanity mirrors on sun visors and others. The seats are covered in fabric upholstery and are also available in adjusting headrests. Its instrument panel comprises of average fuel consumption, digital clock, seat belt and fuel level warning functions. The exterior is good which looks good from all sides and it even looks very stylish. The interior which includes implicit details like features, space, and comfort interior; they are all well balanced. The dashboard looks very neat. The seats are proportionate. The instrumental panels are not claustrophobic. Its music system is mediocre. The ride quality and handling of the vehicle is very simple. The clutch was tough initially but eventually it got tuned. At the end, I would like to conclude that it is one of the best family cars that I can suggest to anyone.
