Excellent Car

I am a proud owner of Swift ZXI Plus AMT and I have driven 1000 km so far-mainly in chockablock traffic if Mumbai. First, why I choose Swift. It has everything, stunning look, best ride experience, neither too small nor too big in size, a kind of trade-off between comfort and manoeuvrability in city traffic, budget 7-10 Lakhs. With this criteria in mind I visited several car dealers and took test drive of several cars. Hyundai Venue has got very attractive look but i didn't find its engine lacking torque in higher gears. That means you have to change gears frequently. Also, it has got a turbocharged engine which requires regular maintenance and gives optimum performance only at high RPM. I didn't take a test drive of I20, I10 Nios, Tata Nexon as I found their looks not so attractive. I also took a test drive of Ford Figo but I found engine lacking torque at higher RPM, which is not good for city traffic. Also, its boot space was small. I didn't take a test drive of Ford Ecosport as I found its looks, not so pleasing to eyes same with Honda Jazz and WRV. My only option left was Maruti. First I took test drive of Baleno at Nexa. This car has got very good cabin space but I found the ride, a little bumpy on a bad road. Then I visited the Arena. The moment I saw Swift ZXI plus( in red colour ) in the showroom, I got an instant feeling that I got it what I wanted. It was a Eureka moment for me. I couldn't take my eyes off the car. My wife and I took a test drive of both Manual and AMT model. Although both models are good in performance, I chose AMT because of its ease of driving in city traffic. It was a long wait(almost 8 weeks)before I got delivery. The dealer even advised me to opt for any other colour so as to hasten the delivery. But I maintained, if it's swift, it has to be red. Now for the last one month, I am driving swift and I am more than satisfied. I got the roof wrapped in black colour, and believe me, it has made my car a head-turner. Now about the performance. The engine is tuned very well and AMT is so easy to drive. The pickup is very good and so is ride quality. You won't feel small potholes at all. The cabin is very silent. You will not get outside noise in the cabin.AC is very powerful. The music system is very good.DRL and alloy wheels enhance the look, very much. Hence I strongly recommend ZXI Plus model. Reverse parking camera and infotainment system are added advantages. Now some cons: The infotainment system synchronises very well with android, but I am facing issue in Bluetooth connectivity with the iPhone. The Global NCAP rating for swift is low I .e.2. Suzuki should do something about time. However, this should not be a deal-breaker. I believe, to make a car stronger, more thickness of steel is required. That means the car will become heavy and if engine capacity not enhanced, engine performance will deteriorate. I trust, there is a reason why Suzuki has kept the weight of swift on the lower side.
