Need of a car and how Maruti Swift Dzire

Owning a car in olden days was considered to be luxurious. I generally agree with that statement in so far as the size of the population of the country was limited, size of the towns and cities in the country were small and geographical distances between the locations of families and their members were minimal and easily manageable with the then available modes of transport. Now that the country has developed in every sphere keeping in pace with the growing population, education, health, technology, living style and spreading the cities/towns to wider distances, the statement no longer holds good. Owing of a car has now become a necessity in view of the mega size metropolitan cities and urbanized towns with longer distances to commute between places. Development of roads & logistic infrastructure has made transportation very easy and comfortable. When I have made up my mind to own a car, I did a lot of enquiries from different car users of different car models with a long range of variants available in the present day market. I have even taken the assistance of a tool available on the internet to understand the technicalities of safety, comfort, specifications and features of any select variant of the car. From this exercise, I understand that it is generally the tendency of people to check for looks and outer specifications of any car but often do not bother much to check about the easy availability of service stations, spare parts, their pricing in comparison to other models' spares at every nuke and corner of Indian sub-continent and their maintenance costs. Now leaving aside the small percentage of a section of people, who are better known as 'well-offs' of Indian society, the budget class people are also very particular about the running/mileage costs of any car intended to be bought. Keeping all these parameters in mind, I started looking for a car having a price tag of rupees 5 to 5.5 lakhs and which also extends all facilities of a higher variant but at the same time falls within my budget. My search with the above key parameters has led me to Maruti Swift Dzire. Further, the idea of introducing 'Option' and 'Optional Option' by Maruti Suzuki, as any other manufacturer, is really laudable. In fact, this enables the users to pick a low-end variant at lower prices but by shedding a few thousands more, one can get optional extra features fitted on his low-end car and thus making his lower variant car even more comfortable, safer than its higher variants which are otherwise costlier going by its variant model. Making use of this facility extended by Maruti, I find Maruti Swift Dzire LXI (Optional (Option)) more ideal as this vehicle will have Airbag, Anti Lock Brake, Crash Sensors etc that are more essential in terms of our security and are lacking in the costlier VXI variant. Maruti Swift Dzire is a full family car catering to all comforts of every family member right from infant to grandpa and proves to be more economical in terms of its running and maintenance costs and at the same time gives you the satisfaction of owning a sedan car at the cost of a hatchback car of certain other models.
