Pros : Elegant exteriors, spacious and comfortable interiors, decent performance, good fuel efficiency and

Cons : Tacky rear

Look and Style: I am planning to switch from two wheeler to four wheeler and I am looking to buy a budget friendly small hatchback. Recently I got a chance to test drive Maruti Ritz and I found this car good for busy Indian streets. The hatchback has dynamic, sporty looks. The small car accommodates five people with comfort, thanks to the high roofline. Ritz hatch also offers decent boot space to carry daily shopping bags. Comfort: During my test drive I found Maruti Ritz comfortable and it is easier to drive it through busiest of Indian streets and requires fewer parking spaces as well. Both front and rear sides have decent headroom and legroom space which further improves the comfort level of the small car. The spacious cabin of the hatchback offers enough space to seat five adults comfortably. It also comes with decent boot space to carry daily shopping bags.  Pick-Up: As I am looking to buy a small car for city purpose, car provides decent performance and power. Car reaches 100 km/h mark in just few seconds. Mileage: The small car delivers an impressive fuel economy of 17 km/l in city and 20 km/l on highways. Best Feature: Spacious and upmarket interiors, high fuel efficiency, good braking and handling system are few of its best features. Need to Improve: The rear side needs more engineering. Overall Experience: In my opinion Maruti Ritz is a perfect hatchback car for Indian roads.

    is it diesel or petroel?

There are both diesel and petrol versions of this car. If ur monthly ride is less than 1500km, then petrol should be an easy pick.

Fuel economy what mention above is incorrect- city it gives 10-12 km/l,highway 14-16 km/l,if its first time car suggest you go for Wagnor,it's spacious and fuel economy is good and price good for first timer buyer.

Fully agree with Abhijit regarding the mileage. It is only 12 km/l in the city. There is a problem with the boot space. A norMal size suitcase does not fit because of the tilt of the rear seat. A wagon r has more luggage space. Overall the car is a decent city car with lots of headroom for big people. The driving position is very good. Left right visibility is a bit of a problem.

If we ride the diesel Ritz below 1000km, due to less KM is there any defect to car.

No problem at all. the reason why you opted for a diesel engine was to drive more, right ? you have paid more for the diesel version so that cost factor can be taken care of only if you drive more.

Hi, If i would like to buy a patrol car within 5lakhs, which one would be the best? I have got suggestions like Maruti Ritz, Hyundai I10 & Chev Beat but thoroughly confused which one to go for. Could anyone give a valuable suggestion please? Thanks, Renjith

i 10 will be the best choice......Ritz its good but u wont get the promised mileage in petrol...if its diesel ritz is good....same way beat is not spacious and u will see lag in performance when u cross speeds above 100km.....i 10 is not a big car but spacious equal to ritz....and better than pick up and speed the 1.2litre next gen i10 can take a swift...Iam using it from jan unwanted gives 15 in city with ac and 18 to 20 in highway with speed i tried till 160 its shakes like other hatchbacks...pick up is awesome for its size....interiors are pleasant...cheaper too....

    Mileage depend upon driving quality.
