Maruti Ciaz Needs More Powerful Petrol Engine

Maruti Ciaz turned the game in the c-segment space where Honda City and Hyundai Verna have been ruling the roost. The car has all the needed ingredients for a perfect family sedan, but for enthusiasts, the vehicle lacks the required punch in driving. And I too felt that when I drive my friend?s petrol powered Ciaz when we were for a long excursion in Rajasthan. All the time I felt that it needs some bump in power figures. And on paper too, 92 PS and 130Nm of torque for a car of this stature is not enough, especially when we talk about strong competitors in the form of Hyundai Verna, Honda City and even Skoda Rapid. So, finally after 4 years, Maruti has decided to add some more horses to the petrol engine. Yes, I read the company is bringing the powerful 1.5L SHVS engine which is doing its duties in Ertiga MPV. The motor makes 104.7PS and 138Nm of torque, which is not only more powerful, but fuel efficient and environment-friendly as well. This engine has been part of various Maruti models and has been tried and tested for its refinement and fuel efficiency. Apart from engine, Maruti will also bring some minor updates inside and out. But the inclusion of new petrol engine will make things better and in favour of Maruti. For the last 2 months I have been searching for a perfect sedan for me. Although, Honda City and Hyundai Verna are also popular cars in the same league, it?s the extensive service network of Maruti which I trust the most.
