Since 2014, when Maruti Ciaz was first introduced in the market, I and family eagerly wanted to buy a sedan, a vehicle which can impress everyone in terms of looks and performance of the car. But due to some financial problems, we were not able to buy but since then, it was on my shortlist. Recently, Maruti Suzuki introduced the facelift version of Maruti Ciaz. As I was for a sedan, Maruti Ciaz and Honda City were on my shortlist, so as soon as the facelifted version Ciaz was launched I didn't waste much time and straight went to the nearest showroom to take a test drive. The experience to drive the luxurious sedan was out of this world. After the test drive, I made all the paperwork completed and booked my dream car. After the waiting period of about 1 month, the amazing Ciaz was there on my doorstep. Since its inception, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been one of the best-selling sedans and till date, it has won the hearts of the people all across the country. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift 2018 gets the classic looks with some cosmetic changes inside and outside while the engine is all new with mild hybrid technology. On the outside, as we know it has always been a handsome looking but with the updates, it now gets a completely new personality. The old grille is replaced by the new and more attractive radiator grille with a multi-pixel design that gets chrome borders. It gets fresh headlamps cluster with LED projector lamps, new bumper along with LED fog lamps and new DRLs. All the changes provided to the sedan make it a more upmarket and sophisticated sedan. The rear part gets LED combination lamps and reworked bumper. Stepping inside, you will notice the same layout except for some minimal changes. It gets a new 4.2-inch TFT instrumentation console that is available with eco illumination. Other updates that lift up the quality inside include satin chrome inserts and faux wood inserts. The features and tech remain the same like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, passive keyless entry, auto climate control, leather upholstery and push start/stop button. For better safety, dual airbags, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX child seat, Speed alert system and seatbelt reminder has been made standard across the range. Mechanically, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets a new 1.5L engine with smart hybrid technology. This makes it the first SHVS system working on the petrol engine. The powertrain generates 105PS of power output and belts out the maximum torque of 138Nm. In my opinion, Maruti Ciaz with the facelift has surely touched the chords with the Indian buyers. It is one of the perfect sedans present in the market, you can buy it without any second opinion.
