Pros : Drive is smooth and silent. Very spacious both leg room and boot space

Cons : Vehicle is light weight

Due to its length the Ciaz looks stylish from its sides, though the front look is quite normal. But the comfort of seating and driving is great.

Pick up is also good. Mileage after the first service has increased. The last time we tested, it gave us 22 kms/ litre. Before the first service it gave us between 17 to 18 kms/l, this is all on the highway. Because we travel a lot only on the highway (from Kolar to Bangalore).

The only drawback I found was the vehicle is a bit too light in its weight when compared to its height and length, which worries you at high speeds (upto 100-110kmph, it's o.k)

Overall its worth the money and as all Maruthi products it is hassle-free.

when's the ZXI(O) & ZDI(O) supposed to be out in the market?

  • Mahendra |26 Feb,2015 12:10:20 PM

Exteriors ,Interiors are good, design is super up to the market, but diesel variant lags power, when Maruti designed ciaz to meet competitive to Honda city and verna fluidic , why maruti failed to design a diesel engine with 1600 CC, It is biggest draw back in diesel variant. Suggestions: Sunroof should be included in ZDI/ZXI + variants Cubic capacity need to increase to 1600 + in diesel.

    Sahdev Patel |11 May,2015 07:21:13 PM

The power is sufficient in view of weight, secondly Fiat's Multijet 1600 CC diesel engine is not manufactured in India, hence the cost of car as well as maintenance too will go up. Honda too is using single diesel engine (1500 CC) across all models from Amaze to City to Mobilio. One has to see over all package, If one is looking for power only, Hyundai has most powerful diesel engine in Verna 1.6. Optimization at competitive cost is answer and not maximization on all parameters at prohibitive cost.

    suvarna reddy |05 Jun,2015 12:57:29 PM

Atleast what I have stated is not fake. The ciaz does give an average mileage of 21-22 kms/lt on the highway. This is stated again after driving 5000 kms. Once again I reiterate my stand that ciaz is a wonderful car.

Ciaz ZDI is the best Sedan in the market.Go get it. For power it is good if you compare overall I ran upto top speed of 150 to 160 kmph without any issues while pune to mumbai. Features are best *Overall length *Smartplay *Interiors with lot of space and leg room. *Advance features specially lighting systems in cabin is the best it feels like sitting in a aeroplane. I have this model snd loving this since I have pirchased on 14th Feb Valentines Day!!👍👌😃😊 I strongly recommend if anyone is interested go get CIAZ ZDI

    Anuj Gupta |28 Mar,2015 01:20:58 AM

I presently have an Opel Astra 1600cc. I would like to go in for a new car. What I am looking for is smooth, effortless driving, with great looks, good fuel efficiency and resale value. I am confused between petrol and diesel versions as also between Honda City and Ciaz. Many of my friends suggest me to go in for Honda City Petrol for smooth drive, great looks and less maintenance although the same may not be fuel efficient like diesel version. Whether a diesel version Honda City is as smooth as petrol version apart from being less expensive in maintenance cost. Against this how does a Ciaz fare? Will anybody clear the air.

    Sahdev Patel |11 May,2015 07:31:55 PM

Go for Ciaz ZDI+, it has every thing you are looking for, the maintenance cost too is lower as majority of parts, specifically engine is common with Dizire, secondly the volume too is good, hence the maintenance cost will be lower, Fiat's multijet Engine Ciaz is proven one too. Have a look inside the cabin, take a test drive, you will forget Honda city. Secondly, the resale value is notional thing, you will save 1.5 lakh on day one, put that in your PPF account, it will earn 8.75 5 tax free interest and at the end of five years it will be more than the difference in resale price of City and Ciaz. Good luck.

i have Fiat Punto and FYI ciaz is almost 200 kgs lighter then punto. one is hatchback and other is sedan. strange behaviour by thin material maruti cars . compromizing safety on behalf of mileage. lets start giving more important to safety rather then mileage

  • Sahdev Patel |11 May,2015 07:37:05 PM

It is tensile strength which is important and not thickness, one is not going to use car in battle field, secondly, weight is not the only parameter, there are several other safety related features, air bags, ABS, EBD , side beams etc. Hence have a comprehensive view, if thickness of sheet is only consideration one may buy a tank.

    neeraj rai |08 Sep,2015 06:27:32 PM

:) I think what matters is combination of car metal sheet strength and safety feature..don't buy a car if car does not have ABS and both airbags in front....any sedan is safe from rear due to maximum steel being used there...:) .. What do u think?

  • sudheer |17 May,2015 10:16:04 PM

i am also done lot of research prior to booking ciaz zxi+ considering all points like performance of car, safety, luxury component, maintenance, and mileage and important is cost and resale then ciaz will be good choice to buy.

Not worth spending a million rupees on a Maruti product. I bought Ciaz VDI+ on 8-May, and visited workshop 3 times in first 4 days. Quality control is not satisfactory. After the sale of vehicle and even after first service, no feedback mechanism to check customer satisfaction or issue! I do not recommend any high value Maruti product to anyone.
