Have been using Ciaz for the past 6 months and we are happy with it. The biggest car in the segment by size and interior space - ciaz is really a value for money car. I was first considering jaz or i20 but i found the top models costs almost the same as the ciaz, which is a much bigger car. compared to city, the main competitor, ciaz is less expensive- both based on the ex- show room price and also based on the service costs. I have test driven VW Vento, another car in the segment and felt more sportier than ciaz. Vento is a heavier car, felt more safe but the benefits i would get with ciaz was much higher and beyond any comparison. Nothing more is to be said with the reliability of brand Maruti.We have a SHVS diesel zdi with us. We get around 20 kmpl ( not in highway) , much less than what Maruti offers. Space is in plenty- legroom, head room all are more than sufficient.Some negative aspects to be pointed out ; like the build quality. To reduce the weight Maruti used thin metal sheets, and that made us a bit worried about the safety aspect. Its a perfect family car, will definitely a prestige . Dont expect a sporty performance out of it. It is a decent car, and in one word a GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
