Drove a new Baleno last week. The company has compromised passenger safety against fuel efficiency. Its very much underweight and yet underpowered too (at least without turbo). It weighs just as much as Santro. Also, those who are carried away by company's gimmick of "lightweight to absorb the shock", please know well that it performed badly in NCAP rating, even though they put highest end European model under test. Most of these high-end features are not part of even top-end model in India (e.g radar assisted braking).
