Maruti Baleno is an excellent car with great looks with great performance. Firstly I want to say Baleno belongs to Maruti that is the first advantage of a car over other brands because Maruti service if best in class. Mileage is also good with respect to its category. However, they can improve in some of the areas like interiors but still they are good compared to other Maruti cars. I would like to this one .  The presence of the car can be felt as soon as it appears in front of us. It has an amazing design. It comes with an 1197 cc engine with a max power of 83 bhp @6000 rpm in petrol variant and 1248 cc engine in diesel variant with a mileage of 27 kmpl. Baleno is a perfect blend of comfort and drive quality. If we talk about petrol variant it will give you around 14 kmpl of mileage in city and 17kmpl of mileage in highways whereas diesel variant will give a mileage of 16 kmpl in city and 18 km pl in highways with AC on. Leg room is upto the mark one can travel long distances without any problem. Interior is pretty cool and can catch everyone's attention. Ride quality and handling is good and small potholes are taken down without any fuss, without loosing comfort at any given time. The car handles really well even at the speed of 135-140kmph and you never feel that the car is out of control. The moment you come across a Baleno you will realise it has a relatively lighter build quality compared to vehicles such as Elite i20, Jazz and others. You cannot complain in terms of features it has to offer with the top-end trim but if you look at Elite i20 and Jazz - they have more varied distribution. Like for an example, unlike Baleno, you get the rearview camera in multiple variants of Elite i20 and Jazz as well. The ride is quite comfortable and plush and the Baleno gives me good mileage, but then it lacks punch.   Best Features: The auto climate A.C. and the Stereo System with pretty good Speakers.   Mileage - The new lightweight chassis has helped the Baleno to extract more kilometres per litre using the powertrains from the Swift. The diesel gives a certified mileage of over 27 kmpl while petrol returns more than 21 kmpl. You get around 20 kmpl in the city with diesel if you drive it in a sane way.   Areas of improvement: Noise of engine that enters into the cabin. Apart from this, it has no real issues and I can easily say Baleno would dislodge i20 as the leader of premium hatchback segment.   Overall Experience: It's a car ought to buy. It's very Good.
