A city friendly car, delivers decent fuel efficiency, handling is not good at high speed, suspension is good in absorbing bumps, but the rear seat is not much spacious and also have short seatback, NVH levels are not good at top end revs, K10 has a good top speed of 170 kmph but it doesn’t feel much stable post 120 kmph speed, haven’t offered with ABS system, seatbelts are the only safety features provided it doesn’t even have power steering, audio quality is average. Engine feels refined than previous Alto models, low speed ride quality is also good, AC cooling is satisfactory, audio system supports CD, USB and Aux, front seats are comfortable and have sufficient travel to accommodate even tall people, it has useful cubbyhole and cupholders in front of gear lever, steering is light at slow speed but doesn’t weigh up well as I accelerate and requires constant correction, it also lacks safety equipments Engine performance is better than older model of Alto, gear shifts smoothness is acceptable, suspension is soft enough to provide comfortable ride, comfortable seats, headroom and knee-room is quite enough, convenient for city ride and not meant for highway, dashboard looks nice, after sale service is excellent, air conditioning quality is ok for this segment, low running cost, vibrates more beyond the speed of 120 kmph due to its light body. Ride quality is good, delivers decent mileage, automatic gears lacks refinement but acceptable for this segment, it also lacks stability as it vibrates in the top end revs, has better features compared to its other variants like power steering, tailgate opener, internally adjustable right wing mirror front fog lamps, and child lock for rear doors, car is good for stop-and-go traffic, boot space is acceptable for a car of this size, excellent after sale service and prices of spare parts are very reasonable as well. i think it should be the cheapest automatic car presently in India, it is light agile and easy to maneuver in city traffic, K10 is a premium version of Alto but it doesn’t have much extra features as I expected like blue tooth is missing and audio sound quality is just average, there is no adjustable headrest although rear seat knee room is better than previous model, dashboard design is combined with light fabrics, brakes perform well but it should also be offered with ABS for better safety. After driving a Maruti 800 Standard for about 9 years I was on the look for a proper hatchback in A2 segment. My priorities for choosing a car was comfort, ease of driving, economical in mileage and maintenance. Almost all these factors were present in the new Alto K10 car. Besides it was within my budget. The Alto K10 is very easy to drive, offered good mileage and comfortable to ride. Plus it is from the Maruti Suzuki stable which provide decent after sales service. Ride quality is good if not superior. The 1 litre engine provides enough power for overtaking in highways though it is most suitable for city rides. The Vxi version is packed with airconditioner, front power windows and factory fitted Music System with FM, CD, Aux, USB. However Bluetooth connectivity is not provided. Quality of speakers is good delivering crystal clear digital audio.
